    摘要: A thrust reverser system includes one or more actuators each having an integrated locking mechanism that prevents unintended actuator movement, and thus unintended thrust reverser movement. Each of the actuators with the integrated locking mechanism includes a housing, a drive shaft, and a lock. The drive shaft includes an outer surface, is rotationally mounted within the housing, and is operable, in response to the operation of the one or more motors, to rotate in a first rotational direction, to thereby move the thrust reverser to the deploy position, and a second rotational direction, to thereby move the thrust reverser to the stow position. The lock is movably mounted within the housing and is operable to move between at least a first position and a second position, and includes at least a side surface and a bottom surface. One or more gears are provided on the outer surface of the drive shaft, each of which is adapted to mesh with gears that are operably coupled to the thrust reverser. In addition, one or more protrusions extend from the outer surface of the drive shaft. Each of the protrusions includes a stop surface configured to fixedly abut the lock side surface when the lock is in the first position, and a tapered surface configured to slidingly abut the lock bottom surface when the lock is in the first position. Thus, rotation of the drive shaft in the first rotational direction is prevented and rotation of the drive shaft in the second rotational direction is allowed when the lock is in the first position.

The thrust reverser system has a torque limiter coupled between synchronization mechanisms that mechanically couple actuators used to drive the thrust reverser. The torque limiter reduces the potential for the transmission of excessive torque between thevdifferent moveable thrust reverser components, and reduces the likelihood of secondary system damage due to a jam in the system. Thus, the cost and/or weight associated with each of the components comprising the system may be reduced.

A drive fluid is supplied to a fluid-powered drive mechanism that is coupled to a thrust reverser movable component to thereby move the thrust reverser movable component at a first movement speed. In response to the thrust reverser movable component attaining the predetermined position, the drive fluid supplied to the fluid-powered drive mechanism is controlled to thereby move the thrust reverser movable component at a second movement speed that is less than the first movement speed.

    摘要: A manual release mechanism for a thrust reverser actuation system electromechanical brake includes a first release plate, a second release plate, at least two balls, and a handle. The first and second release plates each have grooves formed therein that have a cam surface located at a predetermined angle. The release plates face one another such that the grooves in each plate are substantially aligned, and the balls are each positioned in the aligned grooves. The first release plate is configured to rotate, and the second release plate is configured to translate. The handle is coupled to the first release plate to allow manual rotation thereof. In response to rotation of the first release plate, the second release plate will translate and disengage the electromechanical brake.

The ball screw is rotationally mounted on and extends from the housing assembly, is coupled to receive an actuator drive torque, and is configured, upon receipt thereof, to rotate. The ball nut is rotationally supported on the ball screw and is configured, in response to rotation of the ball screw, to translate thereon between a stowed position and a deployed position. The lock is disposed at least partially within the housing assembly and is configured to move between a lock position and an unlock position. The lock prevents the ball nut from translating out of the stowed position when the lock is in the lock position and the ball nut is in the stowed position.
