    摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus. The plasma display apparatus includes a PDP, and a filter formed at the front of the panel. The filter includes an external light shielding sheet including a first base unit, and first pattern units formed in the first base unit, and an EMI shielding sheet including second pattern units. A thickness of the external light shielding sheet is 1.01 to 2.25 times greater than a height of each of the first pattern units, and an angle formed by the first pattern units and the second pattern units is set in the range of 20 to 65 degrees. Thereby, external light can be shielded and an EMI shielding effect can be improved.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus. The plasma display apparatus includes a PDP, and a filter formed at the front of the panel. The filter includes an external light shielding sheet including a first base unit, and first pattern units formed in the first base unit, and an EMI shielding sheet including second pattern units. A thickness of the external light shielding sheet is 1.01 to 2.25 times greater than a height of each of the first pattern units, and an angle formed by the first pattern units and the second pattern units is set in the range of 20 to 65 degrees. In accordance with the plasma display apparatus constructed above according to the present invention, the external light shielding sheet configured to absorb and shield externally incident light to the greatest extent is disposed at the front of the panel. It is thus possible to effectively implement a black image, and to improve bright and dark room contrast. Patterns of the external light shielding sheet are formed with inclination. It can reduce the occurrence of the Moire phenomenon. The EMI shielding sheet of a mesh fashion is attached to the external light shielding sheet. External light can be shielded and an EMI shielding effect can be improved.

During the set-up period, a voltage of a reset signal gradually rises. During the first set-down period, the voltage gradually falls down from a positive voltage. During the second set-down period, the voltage falls down to a negative voltage.The plasma display panel device may reduce the incidence of bright spots because there is no abrupt variation in voltage during a reset period for a reset signal, and this may improve image quality of the plasma display panel device.

    摘要: There is provided a plasma display device. The plasma display device includes a plasma display panel (PDP) and a driving unit for generating driving signals for driving the PDP. A period in which sustain signals are supplied to the PDP includes a first period in which sustain signals supplied to the PDP gradually increase from a reference voltage to a first voltage, a second period for sustaining a second voltage higher than the first voltage, a third period gradually falling from the second voltage to a third voltage higher than the reference voltage, and a fourth period for sustaining the reference voltage. The length of the first period is shorter than the length of the third period. The first switch is turned on at a point of time before the magnitude of current that flows through the inductor reaches a maximum value and then, becomes 0 in the first period. In supplying the sustain signals to the PDP, the point of time where the sustain voltage sustain period or the reference voltage sustain period starts is controlled so that the driving margin of the PDP can be secured enough without remarkably increasing the power consumption for the PDP and that the high resolution PDP can be driven at high speed.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus. The plasma display apparatus includes an upper substrate, first and second electrodes formed on the upper substrate, a lower substrate disposed opposite to the upper substrate, a third electrode formed on the lower substrate, and a barrier rib formed on the lower substrate, for partitioning a discharge cell. At least one of the first and second electrodes is formed of one layer. The barrier rib is formed using a photosensitive material. The photosensitive material includes an inorganic component containing glass particle, and an organic component containing a photosensitive compound. In accordance with the plasma display apparatus of the present invention, since transparent electrodes made of ITO are removed, the manufacturing cost of a plasma display panel can be saved. Furthermore, the protruding electrodes are projected from the scan electrode or the sustain electrode line to the center of the discharge cell or in an opposite direction to that of the center of the discharge cell. It is therefore possible to lower a firing voltage and can increase discharge diffusion efficiency within a discharge cell.
