摘要: A development support system for supporting new product development activities including designing, manufacturing experimental models and testing the functions of the experimental models and for providing an environment for the cooperative activities of a plurality of members of a development project team has a model storage for storing product models, resource models of resources to be used for product development and product development activity models; a target storage for storing target values of schedules of product development, and the cost and the performance of the product; an estimating unit for estimating schedules of product development and the cost and the performance of the product on the basis of the models stored in the model storage; a support unit for support the operations of the members of the development project team for making reference to the models, the target values and the estimated values, and changing and particularizing the models, the target values and the estimated values; a notifying unit for deciding, when each model is changed or particularized, whether or not the estimated values meet the corresponding target values and, when the estimated values do not meet the corresponding target values, for notifying the members of the development project team to that effects; and a unit for monitoring electronic mail necessary for carrying out tasks essential to the development of the product, extracting information relating to the progress of tasks essential to carrying out the development of the product, and providing the members of the development project team with information about the progress of the tasks.

摘要: A designed object workability evaluating system for evaluating quantitatively at a stage of designing an article whether a structure of the article as designed can be realized with work easy to do in a manufacturing stage for thereby selectively determining a best structure from a plurality of design plans through comparative evaluation thereof. A server machine section of the system includes an evaluation-destined element estimating module for estimating the evaluation-destined elements to be performed on parts constituting an article given by a design plan subjected to evaluation, a part workability evaluation module for evaluating easiness of works to be performed on the parts, an article workability evaluation module for evaluating easiness of works involved in realizing the article, and a best design plan selection/determination module for selectively determining a best structure on the basis of comparative evaluation of a plurality of design plans.

摘要: A method or device for computing material requirements which calculates various parts and materials necessary for products to be produced when a production plan is input, in order to reduce the processing time for a material requirements computation. In order to establish the object, the method or device of computing material requirements is provided, which can perform a parallel process without using conventional low level codes. Parts computing means are respectively assigned to items. When the lower parts computing means receives the computation result of the upper parts computing means, it independently executes the computing process if the computation result is sufficient for the parts computation. The process rate of the material requirements computation can be improved by performing the load distribution under a fixed rule, including that to which computer the data of an item is loaded or by which computer an item is processed, when the material requirements are computed in parallel process using plural computers.

摘要: A method or device for computing material requirements which calculates various parts and materials necessary for products to be produced when a production plan is input, in order to reduce the processing time for a material requirements computation.
