摘要： A row of slide fastener coupling elements of synthetic resin or metal is pressed between a pair of first and second presser rolls having first and second confronting presser surfaces engaging legs of the coupling elements. The first and second presser surfaces have closest confronting portions spaced from each other by a distance equal to the width of each of the coupling elements. The second presser roll is displaceable with respect to the first presser roll to vary the distance. The first presser roll has a spur gear held in mesh with a pin gear on the second presser roll. The first and second presser rolls can be rotated in synchronism by the spur gear and the pin gear even when the second presser roll is displaced relatively to the first presser roll. The first and second presser rolls also have partition ridges for meshing engagement with the legs to keep them spaced apart at equal intervals. One of the first and second presser rolls has a third presser surface for engagement with coupling heads. Another presser roll has a fourth presser surface in confronting relation to the third presser surface for pressing the coupling elements toward the third presser surface.

摘要： Slide fastener coupling elements are continuously manufactured from a molded strip of coupling element blanks at a speed which is substantially the same as the speed at which the molded strip is produced on a die wheel. The strip of coupling element blanks, as it is withdrawn from the die wheel, is folded about its longitudinal axis into a U-shape while the strip is being heated, and then is heated by hot air before it is shaped into slide fastener coupling elements of a finalized shape as they are heat-set. Then, the coupling elements thus formed are cooled and discharged at a speed equal to the peripheral speed of the die wheel.

摘要： A weft yarn feeder for use in a shuttleless loom has a spool and a spindle extending rotatably through the shaft of the spool and supporting a pair of drive gears. A plurality of yarn rods jointly defining a generally cylindrical configuration around which a weft yarn is to be wound extend axially along the spool shaft. The end portions of the yarn rods are connected eccentrically to angularly spaced driven gears rotatably mounted on the flanges of the spool and with which the drive gears are held in driving mesh. The yarn rods and the driven gears are connected by pins extending loosely through radial slots in the spool flanges. The yarn rods are movable radially outwardly or inwardly in response to the turning of a knob fixed to the spindle.

摘要： A hook-and-eye assembly includes an eye attached by a first fastener to a first fabric (FA), and a hook attached by a second fastener to a second fabric (FB). The eye has a base plate having a pair of arms projecting laterally from one surface of the base plate and defining an opening therewith, the base plate having a first embossed portion projecting away from the arms and having a center spaced from edges of the arms, the first embossed portion having a pair of first holes divided by a first bridge. The first fastener has a pair of first prongs inserted through the first holes, respectively, and bent around the first bridge with the first embossed portion directed toward the first fastener for positioning the first fabric (FA) therebetween. The hook includes a face plate for insertion into the opening and a back plate spaced therefrom, the back plate having a second embossed portion projecting away from the face plate and having a pair of second holes divided by a second bridge. The second fastener has a pair of second prongs inserted through the second holes, respectively, and bent around the second bridge with the second embossed portion directed toward the second fastener for positioning the second fabric (FB) therebetween.

摘要： A gasket installing device comprises a hollow frame and a guide roller rotatably mounted at a leading end of the hollow frame for rolling movement over a panel edge along which a gasket is to be installed. A presser wheel is rotatably disposed in the hollow frame and has means on its circumference for engaging and pressing the gasket against the panel edge at a position adjacent to an open side of the hollow frame. A gasket guide disposed in the hollow frame adjacent to the leading end has a passage for the gasket to pass therethrough, the passage extending at an angle to the open side. The passage has a discharge opening spaced from the above-mentioned position and from the open side. The hollow frame supports a correction roller assembly on its trailing end for correcting the installed gasket into proper disposition over the panel edge. A cutter arm is disposed in and pivoted to the hollow frame, the cutter arm having a cutter thereon and being pivotable to move the cutter blade into and out of a slot in the gasket guide across the gasket passage in response to the movement of a lever pivotally mounted on the hollow frame.

摘要： A slider aligning device is disclosed for use in a separable slide fastener of the class comprising a pair of stringers having longitudinal rows of interfitting fastener elements on their opposed edges respectively, and a pair of sliders arranged reversely to each other on the rows of fastener elements for longitudinal movement therealong to engage and disengage the same. The aligning device includes a pair of recesses formed inconspicuously at the contracted end of one of the sliders, and a pair of tongues formed correspondingly at the opposed contracted end of the other slider. The tongues are so shaped and sized as to fit neatly in the respective recesses when the contracted ends of the two sliders are brought into contact with each other, so that the sliders can be held in correct alignment during insertion or removal of a pin member at one end of one of the stringers into or out of the guide channels of the respective sliders. The device is adaptable for a separable slide fastener of the type incorporating a box and pin coupling.
