摘要: In this steam supply apparatus, a steam inlet (20a) of a steam injector (20) is connected to a steam outlet (19a) of a high-pressure steam-generating boiler (19). A solar heat-collector (22) is connected to an inlet port (20b) of the steam injector (20), and steam-utilizing equipment (25) is connected to a discharging port (20c). The steam injector (20) is driven by high-pressure and high-temperature steam (27) generated by the high-pressure steam-generating boiler (19), and pressure of the inlet port (20b) is decreased. In the inner portion of the solar heat-collector (22) which is decompressed according to a decrease in pressure of the inlet port (20b), water with a temperature increased by irradiation of the sunlight (24) is boiled and evaporated at less than 100° C., and low-pressure and low-temperature steam (28) is generated. The steam (28) is introduced to the steam injector (20), mixed with the high-pressure and high-temperature steam (27) generated by the high-pressure steam-generating boiler (19), and intermediate pressure and intermediate temperature steam (27a) is generated. The amount of generated steam in the high-pressure steam-generating boiler (19) is decreased by supplying the steam (27a) to the steam-utilizing equipment (25).

摘要: A metal strip casting apparatus and method of casting metal strip include assembling a pair of counter-rotatable casting rolls positioned laterally forming a nip between for casting, and assembling a pair of brush rolls, each of the brush rolls associated with one of each of the casting rolls. Each brush roll includes at least one spaced apart brush line extending substantially along the axial length of the casting roll. The brush lines may form a spiral, zigzag, wave or crisscross array about the brush roll. The brush roll may include one or more staggered rings with regularly or irregularly spaced apart bristles which form the brush lines. The brush lines may be between 10 to 50 mm apart and separated by between 2 mm to 45 mm of open space. The brush lines may be one line per 10 mm to 90 mm of axial length of brush roll.

摘要: A chimney has a lower portion substantially in the shape of a pyramid and an upper portion forming a cylindrical portion that extends with a predetermined dimension upwardly and is provided in a ceiling portion of a building of a coil yard that is used for temporary storage of the hot-rolled coil which is an intermediate iron and steel product acting as a high-temperature heat radiator that is manufactured using the hot-rolling equipment of an iron and steel mill. A power generating turbine is provided at a predetermined position in the cylindrical portion. An intake duct is provided on a lower end portion of the side walls of the building. Hot-rolled coils that are in a high-temperature condition after manufacture are successively imported into the coil yard and accumulated and stored until transfer to a subsequent processing step. An ascending airflow is generated by sequential heating of air introduced into the building from the intake duct using heat retained in the hot-rolled coils. The power generating turbines are rotated by the ascending airflow passing through the cylindrical portion of the chimney to thereby execute wind power generation. As a result, the heat retained in the high-temperature heat radiator manufactured by introduction of heat can be efficiently used.

摘要: The inside of the collision cell 20 placed in the analysis chamber 10 which is vacuum-evacuated is partitioned into an anterior chamber 23 and a posterior chamber 24 by the partition wall 21 with a communicating aperture 22. The former is used as a dissociation area A1 and the latter as a convergence area A2. Electrodes 27 and 28 for forming a radio-frequency electric field are placed in the chambers 23 and 24, respectively. When a CID gas is supplied into the anterior chamber 23, the CID gas is dispersed inside the anterior chamber 23 and flows into the analysis chamber 10 via the posterior chamber 24. Consequently, the gas pressure in the posterior chamber becomes higher than the gas pressure in the analysis chamber 10, and the gas pressure in the anterior chamber 23 becomes higher than the gas pressure in the posterior chamber 24. Hence, the optimum gas pressure for the precursor ion's dissociation and the ions' convergence by a cooling process can be realized in each of the dissociation area A1 and the convergence area A2. Therefore, it is possible to increase both the efficiency of dissociation and the efficiency of the ion convergence.
