摘要： A silver catalyst containing one or more alkali metals and also tungsten as promotors for the direct oxidation of ethylene with oxygen to form ethylene oxide, on a porous support substantially consisting of .alpha.-aluminum oxide and having a specific surface area (BET) of from 0.3 to 3 m.sup.2 /g, which contains tungsten in a concentration of from 60 to 330 ppmwt, based on the total catalyst, per m.sup.2 of surface area for each gram of supporting material.

摘要： The present invention relates to a silver-containing catalyst system, which can be applied for the reaction of substrates with at least one C—C-double bond with at least one oxygen-containing or oxygen-supplying component with formation of at least one epoxide. The silver-containing catalyst according to the invention is characterized in that its activity as well as its selectivity is significantly increased with respect to the target product compared with the silver-containing catalysts of the state of the art, as a consequence of the process for the manufacture according to the invention, in which the synthesis of a silver-amine complex is carried out in absence of light and at temperatures below room temperature.

摘要： Imidazoles are prepared by reacting 2-imidazolines at from 250.degree. to 500.degree. C. in the presence of molybdenum oxide and nickel oxide and/or cobalt oxide and aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide and/or silicates as catalysts.The imidazoles obtainable by the process according to the invention are valuable starting materials for the preparation of dyes, crop protection agents, textile auxiliaries, catalysts for polyurethanes and epoxy resins, surfactants and drugs, for example the corresponding nitroimidazoles.

摘要： A process for the manufacture of a bifunctional catalyst for the conversion of hydrocarbons, which contains a crystalline aluminosilicate of the type of the Y-zeolites as the acidic component and a noble metal as the hydrogenation component. The process constitutes a technologically simple way of manufacturing bifunctional zeolite catalysts which have at least the same activity and the same life as the catalysts manufactured by conventional methods, coupled with great heat stability and exhibit activity in the presence of H.sub.2 O, H.sub.2 S and NH.sub.3 at relatively high temperatures.
