    摘要: An electro-developing type camera using an electro-developing recording medium on which an image is developed while an electric voltage is applied thereto. The image is read out from the electro-developing medium by a scanning mechanism. A color separation filter is disposed in front of the recording medium, so that R, G and B images are recorded on first, second and third recording areas, respectively. The color separation filter and the recording medium are disks rotatably provided. A photographing optical system is disposed at a first position at which the optical axis thereof is positioned above the rotational axes. The scanning mechanism is disposed at a second position at which the scanning mechanism is positioned under the rotational axes of the electro-developing recording medium and the color separation filter. Each of the recording areas is positioned above the rotational axes when a photographing operation of the recording area is carried out, and is positioned under the rotational axes when a reading operation of the image from the recording medium is carried out.

A photometry sensor is provided behind the electro-developing recording medium to sense the intensity of light passing through the first, second, and third recording areas. When the sensed light reaches a proper photometry value, the application of a voltage to the electro-developing recording medium is stopped, and the shutter is closed.

Further, the reference zone is located adjacent to a side edge of the image recording area of the electro-developing recording medium. The electro-developing recording medium includes an electrostatic information recording medium and an electric charge keeping medium. The electric charge keeping medium has the reference zone exhibiting the substantially-constant transparency. The electric charge keeping medium is formed as a liquid crystal display, and the reference zone can be defined as an empty space from which a portion of a liquid crystal of the liquid crystal display has been eliminated. In the alternative, the reference zone can be defined as a plenum space which is filled with a portion of a liquid crystal of the liquid crystal display, and which is arranged such that an electric field is applied to the plenum space so as to exhibit a constant and maximum transparency.

The exposure operation is performed so that the aperture value and the basic exposure time are determined. The R/G signal and the B/G signal outputted from the white balance sensor are read. The basic exposure time is adjusted in accordance with the R/G signal and B/G signal, so that the actual exposure times regarding the R and B images are calculated. When the shortest exposure time of the actual exposure times corresponding to R, G, and B images is shorter than a limit value, a warning sound may be outputted by a buzzer. When the image recorded on the electro-developing recording medium is read therefrom, the electro-developing recording medium is illuminated by a light source which emits a laser beam. During this reading operation, the line sensor is moved with the light source along the electro-developing recording medium, so that the image is read. When the image recorded on the electro-developing recording medium is erased, the intensity of light outputted by the light source is controlled to have a value greater than in the reading operation, and the light source is moved along the electro-developing recording medium.
