摘要: A callus and suspension culture cells containing taxol as an effective component, and a process for producing taxol therefrom, are provided. The callus and suspension culture cells containing taxol in a high content can be induced and proliferated by culturing a tissue of a plant belonging to the genus Taxus, particularly its female gametophyte. The process for cell culture is advantageously carried out in the presence of a particular combination of plant growth regulators known per se in a growth medium. A callus or suspension culture cells containing at least taxol as an effective component can be stably provided, making it possible to effectively produce taxol.

摘要: A developing device includes a developing roller, toner supplying roller, regulation blade, and casing. The developing roller faces an image carrier on which an electrostatic latent image is to be formed, and supplies toner to the image carrier. The toner supplying roller faces the developing roller, and supplies the toner to the developing roller. The regulation blade faces the toner supplying roller at predetermined distance. The casing houses the developing roller, toner supplying roller, and regulation blade. The casing includes a toner catching support member facing the developing roller or the toner supplying roller between the regulation blade and the image carrier. The developing device further includes a toner catching member, which is arranged along a longitudinal direction of the toner catching support member and catches toner that drops from the developing roller, and a vibration generating portion, which vibrates the toner catching member.

摘要: A developing unit includes a unit main body having an internal space defined by a predetermined frame and capable of supplying a developer to the outside while agitating the developer within the internal space, a unit-side cooling duct attached to the unit main body, and a duct connecting member connecting the unit-side cooling duct and an external duct which supplies a cooling gas to the unit-side cooling duct from outside the unit main body. The unit-side cooling duct is structured by a duct piece and a part of the predetermined frame. The duct piece is detachably attached to the unit main body in opposed relation to the part of the predetermined frame, and has an end that is fitted to the duct connecting member.

摘要: A vertical solid-liquid contact apparatus, comprising: a plurality of stirring chambers disposed vertically adjacent to each other in series, a plurality of partitioning plates each partitioning an adjacent pair of the stirring chambers and provided with a communicating hole for communication between the adjacent pair of the stirring chambers, and a liquid inlet and a solid inlet provided at an upper part and a lower part of the apparatus. Each stirring chamber has an inner side wall defining the stirring chamber, a radially ejecting stirring blade, and at least one baffle fixed on the inner side wall so as to extend vertically. The stirring blade and the baffle are positionally biased to a lower side of the stirring chamber. The apparatus exhibits a good uniformity of solid-liquid flows and a high contact efficiency, is also simple in structure and allows easy scale-up. The apparatus can be widely applied to unit operations in the chemical industry. The apparatus exhibits a particularly good solid-liquid contact efficiency when operated in the neighborhood of its maximum load.
