Abstract: An elevator includes an elevator motor, a motor drive for the elevator motor having a frequency converter including a rectifier bridge, an inverter bridge and a DC link in between, which frequency converter is controlled via a controller, the rectifier bridge being connected to AC mains via three feed lines including chokes, and the rectifier bridge being realised via controllable semiconductor switches, an isolation relay being located between the feed lines and AC mains, a backup power supply at least for emergency drive operation, an emergency control for performing an automatic emergency drive, the backup power supply is via a first switch connectable with only a first of the feed lines. A second and/or third of the feed lines is via a second switch connectable as power supply to a car door arrangement, the first switch as well as the second switch are controlled by the emergency control, and the emergency control is connected to a manual drive circuit having a manual drive switch for a manual rescue drive. The elevator includes a first feedback circuit configured to provide to the emergency control first information indicating the switching state of the isolation relay, a second feedback circuit which is configured to provide to the emergency control second information indicating switching state of the first switch. The emergency control is configured to selectively allow or prevent the emergency drive operation on the basis of the first information and the second information.

Abstract: The invention relates to a battery pack, comprising a plurality of battery cells arranged consecutively. Each of said battery cells comprise a positive and a negative terminal on opposite sides of the battery cell, the battery cells being electrically connected in series with each other, wherein the terminals of the plurality of battery cells are arranged on two opposite sides of the battery pack such that positive and negative terminals of the consecutive battery cells are on both sides of the battery pack by turns next to each other. The battery pack further comprises a first and a second printed circuit board portion arranged on said two opposite sides of the battery pack, respectively. The first and the second printed circuit board portions comprise connection interfaces arranged next to the terminals of the battery cells. The first and the second printed circuit board portions comprise signal traces connected to the terminals of the battery cells via the connection interfaces. The battery pack further comprises a third printed circuit board portion arranged next to the battery cells and extending between the first and the second printed circuit board portions, such that the battery cells are located in a channel defined by the first, the second and the third printed circuit board portions. The third printed circuit board portion comprises a battery pack condition management unit connected to the signal traces of the first and the second printed circuit board portion.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for releasing the operating brake of an elevator in an emergency situation and for driving an elevator car of the elevator to a floor level, comprising at least one electric operating brake of the elevator as well as a brake release lever, which brake release lever is connected with the brake via a mechanical transmission means, which arrangement further comprises an overspeed governor connected with a gripping device of the elevator car. According to the invention in between the brake release lever and the brake a coupling device is arranged, which coupling device is controlled by the overspeed governor. Via this means the car velocity is controlled also during release of trapped passengers.

Abstract: A motor drive includes a rectifier bridge, which rectifier bridge is connected to an DC link, which is connected to an inverter bridge having phase outputs configured to be connected to an elevator motor, as well as a drive control controlling the semiconductor switches of the inverter bridge. The inverter bridge has upper semiconductor switches of the upper side connected to plus of the DC link and lower semiconductor switches of the lower side connected to minus of the DC link, the upper semiconductor switches are semiconductor switches without desaturation- and/or over-current protection whereas the lower semiconductor switches comprise a desaturation- and/or over-current protection, or vice versa. The drive control includes an earth fault control circuit which is configured to establish an earth fault test, in which each single semiconductor switch comprising a desaturation- and/or over-current protection is switched through, only one at a time, over a test time period, whereby the earth fault control circuit is configured to enable start of the motor drive only if the earth fault test has not lead to a tripping of the desaturation- and/or over-current protection of one of the semiconductor switches.

Abstract: A transport conveyor drive having a rectifier and an inverter which are connected via a DC link, whereby the inverter comprises power switches for suppling electric power to an transport conveyor motor is disclosed. The transport convey drive comprises a motor controller for controlling the power switches of the inverter which is configured to produce control pulses in the control poles of the power switches, at least one safety signal interface, which is adapted to receive safety signals from a safety controller of the transport conveyor, and a brake control circuit having an output for supplying power to a brake coil of an electromagnetic brake, wherein at least one STO circuit is connected between the motor controller and each of the power switches of at least one half bridge of the inverter, the STO circuit being configured to transfer/cut the control pulses to the power switches.

Abstract: A motor drive includes a rectifier bridge for connection with mains, a converter bridge configured to connect with an elevator motor and an intermediate DC circuit in-between. A capacitor and/or battery is connected between positive and negative branches of the intermediate DC circuit. At the mains side of the rectifier bridge a controlled main relay with contacts are configured to connect or disconnect the rectifier bridge with the corresponding mains phase. The motor drive comprises a charging circuit which comprises a charging switch connected with a current limiting component. The motor drive comprises a voltage sensor between positive and negative branches of the intermediate DC circuit. The voltage sensor is connected to a circuit comprising a reference value and a comparator. The evaluation circuit is configured to compare the actual sensor signal of the voltage sensor to the reference value and to operate the main relay based on the comparison.
