The cumulative time determining device distinguishes an environment type of an environment where the detection device is installed, or a phenomenon type of a phenomenon being detected by the detection device, and further determines the cumulative time according to the distinguished environment type or phenomenon type.

摘要： A disk device for performing error-correction processing is loaded with a high-reliability disk to which a C1 code as a low-level error-correction code (ECC) is added for every sector, and a C2 code as a high-level ECC is added for every plurality of sectors. A host computer includes a device driver corresponding to the high-reliability disk. When data written to the high-reliability disk is read, low-level error-correction is performed based on the C1 code in units of one block corresponding to one sector, and the corrected data is notified to the host computer. Simultaneously, the C2 code along with the data for a plurality of blocks is loaded, and high-level error correction based on the C2 code is thereby performed.

摘要： A thermal detector in which an element unit has a heat sensor element such as a, thermistor, sealed into the terminal end portion thereof, for electrically detecting temperature change. A detector body integrates by plastic-forming a pair of fitting members for electrically and mechanically coupling to a detector base. A circuit board is mounted on a circuit accommodation portion inside the detector body. A back side cove is provided for closing and sealing the circuit accommodation portion from the reverse side thereof. Airtightness of the circuit accommodation portion is thereby secured and it is simplified to make possible automatization. Positioning projections and respective positioning grooves are provided. By respectively fitting these, positioning is achieved of the circuit board to a molded body, the back side cover to the reverse side of the molded body and the outer cover to the lower side of the molded body. In such a positioned state, the back side cover, the circuit board, the molded body and the outer cover are fixed into one body by screwing of the fitting members. Positioning of a plurality of component parts at the time of assembling is simplified thereby to achieve an improvement in working efficiency and assembling precision.

摘要： Since disks of the same type are loaded in a disk device using a conventional disk changer scheme, the disk device is not versatile as a peripheral device of a computer. ROM disks and RAM disks are mixed and stored in a magazine, and this magazine is loaded in the disk device. In the disk device, a tray is identified in step by a detector arranged on the tray to check whether the tray be a ROM disk or a RAM disk. Thereafter, discrimination information is recorded, together with the contents information, on an IC memory arranged on the magazine in step. Thereafter, when the magazine is loaded again, the discrimination information is read from the IC memory, and an operation corresponding to each disk is performed.
