摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus is disclosed in which part of ink droplets ejected from a nozzle of an ink ejection head and unused for printing purpose is caught by a gutter and returned to an ink supply source through an ink circulation path to be reused. The ink is partly shunted for disposal while fresh ink is supplied to the ink supply source in proportion to the amount of ink disposal, thereby maintaining the ink viscosity always at a proper value. For the disposal of the ink, a three-way solenoid operated valve is opened periodically for a predetermined period of time or, alternatively, ink droplets ejected from the nozzle are deflected to be caught by a gutter which is independent of the first gutter for routing to disposal means. The amount of disposal is determined by a pressure of ink fed to the nozzle and/or a temperature of ink in the neighborhood of the nozzle.

摘要: In an ink jet printing apparatus wherein an ink ejection head is loaded on a carriage and, while the carriage moves relative to a sheet of paper, ink droplets are ejected from the head to be charged and deflected to impinge on the sheet of paper, a shape or a position of a conductive member carried on the carriage is varied to develop an electric field which is asymmetrical with respect to a predetermined plane in which charged ink droplets coming out from a charging electrode are to be deflected. The conductive member is constituted by a cover of the carriage, a shield plate, a gutter, a compensating electrode plate, a deflection electrode or the like.

摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus includes an ink condition detector for detecting a condition of ink. The ink condition detector produces outputs which represent a plurality of parameters of the ink. The parameters are the ink temperature, the ink pressure and the velocity of ink droplets in flight. 摘要: A classifier having a simple constitution for classifying powder with a high accuracy is provided. 摘要: A device for detecting viscosity of a liquid which varies with time includes a first tank provided with an overflow section for maintaining a predetermined liquid height, and a second tank fluidly communicated to the first tank and provided with a restricted outlet, or orifice. While a liquid is circulated through the two tanks by a pump, a height sensor which is dipped in the liquid in the second tank senses a liquid height in the tank in terms of capacitance. The output of the height sensor is representative of a viscosity of the liquid.

摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus uses as its charge detection means a gutter which is made of a conductive material, insulated from collected ink and grounded through a resistor. A charging electrode is supplied with charging voltage pulses for a phase search intermittently at a predetermined period which is at least two times the period of a drive frequency of ink droplets. The resultant voltage appearing across the resistor is amplified and filtered to pick out a pulse signal of the predetermined period. The resistance of the resistor between the gutter and the ground is preselected to be sufficiently smaller than that of the ink.

摘要: Considering the fact that a charging voltage and the resultant amount of deflection of an ink droplet are substantially proportional to each other, actual measurement is first made of a charging voltage for causing ink droplets to fly to at least one predetermined deflection position and then, based on the measured voltage, proper charging voltages for driving ink droplets to other deflection positions are computed. Further, more adequate charging voltages are determined taking nozzle compensatory coefficients allotted to individual ink ejection holes of nozzles and/or step compensatory coefficients for individual deflection steps into consideration.

摘要: A neuron unit processes a plurality of input signals and for outputs an output signal which is indicative of a result of the processing, and includes input lines for receiving the input signals, a forward process part including a supplying part for supplying weight functions and an operation part for carrying out an operation on each of the input signals using one of the weight functions and for outputting the output signal, and a self-learning part including a function generating part for generating new weight functions based on errors between the output signal of the forward process part and teaching signals and a varying part for varying the weight functions supplied by the supplying part of the forward process part to the new weight functions generated by the generating part. The supplying part includes a memory for storing each weight function in the form of a binary value, and a generating circuit for generating a random pulse train based on each binary value stored in the memory. The random pulse train describes each weight function in the form of a pulse signal having a pulse density.
