Abstract: A display panel and a display device is disclosed that include: a substrate including a light emitting area and a non-light emitting area, a storage capacitor on the substrate in the light emitting area, a first connection pattern over the substrate in the light emitting area, a second connection pattern electrically connected to the storage capacitor and on the first connection pattern, a third connection pattern on the second connection pattern and electrically connected to the second connection pattern, an insulating layer on the third connection pattern and including a first contact hole exposing a portion of an upper surface of the third connection pattern, and an anode electrode on the insulating layer and contacting the third connection pattern through the first contact hole, the first contact hole located in a central portion of the light emitting area.

Abstract: Disclosed are a light blocking device, a method of manufacturing the same, and a transparent display device including the same, which transmit or block light by using a polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) layer. The light blocking device includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, a first electrode on the first substrate, a second electrode on the second substrate, and a PDLC layer between the first electrode and the second electrode. The PDLC layer includes a droplet including liquid crystals and dichroic dyes, and the liquid crystals and the dichroic dyes are twisted with each other and aligned.

Abstract: A display apparatus is disclosed, which includes a display panel having a first area and a second area, a main body supporting the display panel, an auxiliary member arranged in the main body and overlapped with the first area of the display panel, and a light absorption portion arranged in the second area of the display panel to surround the first area of the display panel. Therefore, external light reflected from the auxiliary member is prevented from being re-reflected in the auxiliary member, whereby image overlap or noise may be prevented from occurring.
