Abstract: A transparent display device may optimize arrangement areas of a plurality of signal lines and circuit areas, and may prevent a luminance difference from occurring between subpixels for emitting light of the same color. The transparent display device comprises a substrate provided with transmissive areas, a first non-transmissive area provided between the transmissive areas in a first direction, and a second non-transmissive area provided between the transmissive areas in a second direction, first signal lines provided along the first non-transmissive area in the first non-transmissive area and extended from an overlapping area, in which the first non-transmissive area and the second non-transmissive area cross each other, in a direction crossing the first direction, and second signal lines provided along the second non-transmissive area in the second non-transmissive area and extended from the overlapping area in a direction crossing the second direction. Two adjacent first signal lines are symmetrical with each other with the transmissive area interposed therebetween, and two adjacent second signal lines are symmetrical with each other with the transmissive area interposed therebetween.

The PDLC layer includes a droplet including liquid crystals and dichroic dyes, and the liquid crystals and the dichroic dyes are twisted with each other and aligned.

The transparent display panel includes a plurality of transmissive areas transmitting incident light and a plurality of emissive areas emitting light and a light control device disposed on one surface of the transparent display panel to execute a transmissive mode, where incident light is transmitted, and a light shield mode where incident light is blocked. The light control device includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, a liquid crystal cell provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a partition wall maintaining a cell gap of the liquid crystal cell. The partition wall has a honeycomb structure, and a plurality of column spacers are disposed between partition walls.

The light control device includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, a first electrode over one surface of the first substrate facing the second substrate, a second electrode over one surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, a sealant sealing a plurality of liquid crystal cells between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first dam structure in a boundary between the sealant and the liquid crystal, and a second dam structure surrounding an outer side of the sealant. The liquid crystal layer transmits or blocks light, and the first dam structure surrounds an inner side of the sealant contacting the liquid crystal cells.
