Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel in which a plurality of subpixels are disposed and the display panel comprises a first active area in which N number of subpixels among the plurality of subpixels are disposed, and a second active area in which M number of subpixels among the plurality of subpixels are disposed and is located outside of the first active area, and a first image and a second image are displayed on the subpixels disposed in the first active area, and the first image and a blank image are displayed on the subpixels disposed in the second active area.
Abstract:
A display panel sets a focus area per frame, based on focus area setting information and focus area reference line information received from the outside, control the number of gate lines simultaneously driven according to the focus area, and display a rendered image per focus area, thereby preventing the quality degradation of the image perceived by the user and increasing the frame rate of the display panel, and enhancing the quality of the virtual reality experience provided by the virtual reality device.
Abstract:
A touch sensing system and a method of controlling power consumption thereof are disclosed. The touch sensing system includes a plurality of sensing units, which sample a voltage received from a touch screen and accumulate the sampled voltage, and a plurality of analog-to-digital converters converting an output of the sensing units into digital data. The sensing units and the analog-to-digital converters are divided into a plurality of groups in an idle state. Each of the plurality of groups includes at least two sensing units and one analog-to-digital converter. At least one sensing unit included in at least one group is powered down in the idle state. An analog-to-digital converter is powered on during the group it belongs to is powered on.
Abstract:
A touch sensing circuit is configured to supply touch drive signals to electrodes of a touch sensitive display device and detect corresponding touch sense signals from the electrodes in response to the supplied touch drive signals, a touch sense signal indicating a change in self-capacitance of a driven electrode in response to a touch input on the driven electrode. The touch sensing circuit is further configured to integrate, for a first predetermined duration of time, a measure of each of the touch sense signals, to generate a first integrated signal corresponding to each touch sense signal; integrate, for a second predetermined duration of time, the first integrated signal, to generate a second integrated signal corresponding to each touch sense signal; and determine presence of one or more touch inputs on one or more of the electrodes based on the second integrated signal.

Abstract:
A touch sensing method, a touch sensing circuit, and a touch display device perform multifrequency touch driving by varying the frequencies of touch driving signals when sensing a touch or a touched position by outputting pulse-type touch driving by which one or more touch electrodes among a number of touch electrodes disposed on a display panel are driven sequentially. Undesired parasitic capacitance that would otherwise be caused by touch driving signals is prevented from occurring, and EMI influence is reduced.
Abstract:
A touch sensitive display device, a method for driving the same, and a driving circuit of the display device are disclosed. The touch sensitive display device comprises a display panel comprising a plurality of pixels and a plurality of touch sensors. Each touch sensor is connected to at least one respective pixel of the pixels, the display panel driven in a plurality of successive display frame periods and during each display frame period a respective frame of image data is driven to the pixels. A touch driving circuit drives touch driving signals to the touch sensors during a touch frame that begins in a first display frame period of the display frame periods and ends in a second display frame period of the display frame periods that immediately follows the first display frame period.
