    Abstract: A watch type mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, by which a position of an hour hand and a position of a minute hand can be automatically changed to prevent an object contained in an application running screen from being blocked. A watch type mobile terminal in which time is indicated by at least one hand, the mobile terminal comprising: a display; and a controller configured to: cause the display to display a face screen; cause the at least one hand to point to a current time while the face screen is displayed; cause the display to display an execution screen of an application when the application is executed; and cause the at least one hand to move from a first position to a second position, deviating from the current time, to not block an area of the execution screen at which an object is displayed.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a mobile terminal and a method for controlling a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit configured to be connected to an external device for communication, a sensing unit configured to sense a motion of the mobile terminal, a touch screen, and a controller configured to receive information related to a first item selected in a screen of an application being executed in the external device when a motion of the mobile terminal according to a first gesture of a user who has worn the mobile terminal is sensed, to display a first screen on which the information related to the first item is displayed according to a time sequence on the touch screen, and to transmit a control signal which enables a screen of an application corresponding to a second item selected in the first screen to be displayed to the external device when a motion of the mobile terminal according to a second gesture of the user is sensed. In accordance with the present invention, operations related to an application being executed in an external device can be executed in a watch type mobile terminal while operating in conjunction with the external device.
