摘要： A calling device of a MRI system may include a reader/writer and a call maker. The reader/writer can send a fixed-frequency electromagnetic wave. The call maker may include a main body, an antenna, an operating member, and an answering controller. The antenna can generate an induced current after receiving the fixed-frequency electromagnetic wave. The operating member can switch between first and second positions relative to the main body. The answering controller is configured such that: when the operating member is in the first position, a first radio-frequency signal is sent through the antenna with energy obtained from the induced current generated by the antenna, and when the operating member is in the second position, a second radio-frequency signal is sent through the antenna with energy obtained from the induced current generated by the antenna. The reader/writer can send different prompt signals according to the first and second radio-frequency signals.

摘要： A wristband (12) includes an RF receiver (34) arranged to receive targeted data burst (38). A controller (28) interprets the data bursts (38) to recover embedded activation codes that control operation of either individual wristbands (12) or a selected group of similar wristbands (12) worn by members of an audience at a venue (100) or event, such as a gig. Each wristband further includes at least one light emitting device (36), such as a high-intensity LED, and preferably multiple LEDs. In the event that a received data burst (38) is resolved to relate to (i.e. is addressed to) the wristband, a recovered activation code from that data burst is cross-referenced against LED control sequences stored in a memory (25) in the wristband (12). Particularly, the memory is pre-stored with at least one control sequence that is executable by the controller in response to identification of the corresponding activation code, with the control sequence arranged to cause selective illumination of the light emitting device(s) (36) to produce a light-show within wristbands (12) worn by the audience. The light show may include selective pulsing of one or more coloured LEDs. The light show can be based on zoned regions (102-110) within the venue (100) provided that individual wristbands are allocated with addresses for particular zones and the wristband's memory contains a zone activation code that is both included in the data burst (38) and resolved by the controller (28) as being relevant.

摘要： A radio selective call receiver includes a synchronous data detector for detecting synchronous data for each unit of a series of a predetermined number of data formed by dividing the transmitted signal into a plurality of parts. A time counter performs time setting and produces time information. A time information comparator compares the synchronous data from the synchronous data detector with the time information from the time counter to calculate an error, and the time counter is corrected on the basis of the error output of the time information comparator. A display displays a time correction interval menu comprising a plurality of different time intervals, and switches enable the selection of a specific time interval, after the expiration of which the time information of the time counter is corrected on a regular basis. This arrangement enables a selection of one of the plurality of different time intervals, to change the time interval after which the time information of the time counter is corrected.

摘要： The functions of a paging device and the calling card or any other type of credit card having integrated into one unit which is referred to as a smartcard and has approximately the dimensions of a standard credit card. The smartcard not only receives the number of the caller from the paging center but automatically dials and transmits billing information when inserted into a pay telephone. The user can through the use of switches on the smartcard return all of the calls for the telephone numbers that were received from the paging service. In addition, the smartcard allows for the storage of commonly-dialed numbers used by the user that can also be automatically dialed when the smartcard is inserted into a pay telephone. Also, if the name of the caller is transmitted rather than the telephone number from the paging center, the smartcard searches the commonly-dialed numbers to find the telephone number associated with that name.

A display device, in communication with the receiver, displays the visual message of a selected one of the at least one message. A first housing houses the receiver and the display device to form a self-contained, viable receiver unit. A camera captures at least one image. A transmitter transmits a signal based upon the at least one image captured by the camera. A second housing houses the camera and the transmitter to from a self-contained, viable transmitter unit. The second housing is selectively attachable and detachable from the first housing. As a result, the transmitter unit may be selectively attached to the receiver unit and detached from the receiver unit.
