Abstract: A rotary compressor may include a cylinder having an inner peripheral surface that defines a compression space, and provided with a suction port configured to communicate with the compression space and through which refrigerant is suctioned into the compression space; a roller rotatably provided in the compression space of the cylinder, and having a plurality of vane slots that provides a back pressure at one side thereinside and provided at a predetermined interval along an outer peripheral surface of the roller; and a plurality of vanes slidably inserted into the vane slots, respectively, and configured to rotate together with the roller, front end surfaces of which come into contact with the cylinder due to the back pressure to partition the compression space into a plurality of compression chambers. High-pressure refrigerant may be accommodated between one of the vanes and the cylinder.

Abstract: A vane-type compressor is provided. The vane-type compressor may include a cylindrical cylinder having opposite open ends along an axial direction, an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder being eccentric from an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder, a main bearing and a sub bearing, respectively, positioned at the open ends of the cylinder, a rotor coupled to a shaft supported by the main bearing and the sub bearing and installed eccentric from the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder, and a plurality of vanes coupled to the rotor to rotate along with the rotor, the plurality of vanes dividing the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder into a plurality of spaces including a suction chamber and a compression chamber when the rotor rotates. An elastic member may be installed at a point at which a minimum gap is maintained between the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder and the rotor so that a portion of the elastic member protrudes inward of the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder. An end of a discharge dimple formed in the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder extends up to the point.

Abstract: A rotary compressor may include a case, a cylinder, a roller, a vane, a main bearing and a sub bearing, and a discharge passage defined in the main bearing or the sub bearing to discharge refrigerant compressed in a compression space. The discharge passage may include at least one discharge hole formed through the main bearing or the sub bearing, and at least one discharge guide groove having a first end that communicates with the at least one discharge hole and a second end that extends from the at least one discharge hole toward a contact point between the cylinder and the roller and is recessed from one surface of the main bearing or the sub bearing forming the compression space. Accordingly, an amount of refrigerant remaining in the compression space even after a discharge stroke may be reduced.

Abstract: A rotary compressor is disclosed. The rotary compressor may include a casing, a cylinder, main and sub bearings, a rotational shaft, a roller, at least one vane, and a vane support portion that axially supports the at least one vane formed on a bearing surface to extend along a reciprocating direction of the at least one vane from an inner circumferential surface of at least one back pressure pocket at an end of circumferential ends of the at least one back pressure pocket, adjacent to a contact point, and/or protrude axially from the inner circumferential surface of the at least one back pressure pocket and extend in a circumferential direction. This may secure a wide axial support area for a rear end of the at least one vane passing the contact point and/or near the contact point, to suppress or prevent axial tilting of the at least one vane, thereby reducing friction loss, wear, and vibration noise due to the axial tilting of the at least one vane during operation of the compressor.

Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include at least one vane that is slidably inserted into at least one vane slot provided in a roller or a cylinder so as to separate a compression space into a plurality of compression chambers. The at least one vane has an at least one oil supply groove formed in at least one of axial side surfaces, respectively, facing a main bearing and a sub bearing. The at least one oil supply groove may be longer in a longitudinal direction of the at least one vane than in a widthwise direction of the at least one vane. With this structure, it is possible to suppress friction loss and wear on a friction surface by supplying oil to the friction surface in contact with the at least one vane.
