    Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include a rotational shaft, first and second bearings configured to support the rotational shaft in a radial direction, a cylinder disposed between the first and second bearings to form a compression space, a rotor disposed in the compression space and coupled to the rotational shaft to compress a refrigerant as the rotor rotates, and at least one vane slidably inserted into the rotor, the at least one vane coming into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder to separate the compression space into a plurality of regions. The at least one vane may include a pin that extends in an axial direction, and at least one of the first bearing and the second bearing may include a rail groove into which the pin may be inserted.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include a cylinder having an inner circumferential surface with an annular shape to form a compression space; a roller having a plurality of vane slots disposed at predetermined intervals along an outer circumferential surface thereof, and rotatably inserted into the compression space of the cylinder; and a plurality of vanes slidably inserted into the respective vane slots to rotate together with the roller and by which the compression space is divided into a plurality of compression chambers. At least one of the vane slots is unequally spaced in a circumferential direction. Accordingly, periodicity of noise may be reduced to thereby increase the effect of noise reduction of the compressor.

    Abstract: A hermetic compressor is provided that may include a vane that is inserted into a roller, rotates with the roller, and is pushed out toward an inner circumference of a cylinder by rotation of the roller to divide the compression chamber into a plurality of spaces. The vane may include a body having a sealing surface that contacts the inner circumference of the cylinder and inserted into the roller; and a guide that extends from an axial end of the body in a direction crossing a direction the vane slides out, and that is slidably inserted into a guide groove formed on at least one of the first bearing or the second bearing to restrain the vane from sliding out of the roller toward the inner circumference of the cylinder.

    Abstract: A hermetic compressor is provided that may include a cylinder having an inner circumferential surface which forms a compression chamber formed in an elliptical shape; a roller provided to be eccentric from the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder, and configured to change a volume of the compression chamber by being rotated; and at least one vane formed to be withdrawn towards the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder when the roller is rotated, and configured to divide the compression chamber into a plurality of spaces. When it is assumed that on the basis of a contact point where the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder and an outer circumferential surface of the roller are closest to each other, and a first center line passing through a center of the cylinder, an ellipse positioned at a first side of the first center line and forming the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder is defined as a first ellipse, a center point of the first ellipse is defined as a first center point, an ellipse positioned at a second side of the first center line and forming the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder is defined as a second ellipse, a center point of the second ellipse is defined as a second center point, under these assumptions, the first center point and the second center point are spaced apart from the center of the cylinder.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor may include an outflow passage through which refrigerant flows out of a compression space. The outflow passage may include at least one first outflow guide portion disposed in a main bearing or a sub bearing, at least one second outflow guide portion formed through between both axial ends of a roller, and at least one third outflow guide portion disposed in a bearing opposite to the bearing with the at least one first outflow guide portion based on the roller. This may minimize an amount of refrigerant remaining in the compression space. A pressure difference on a front of a vane may also be eliminated, which may suppress or prevent vane jumping. As the outflow passage is periodically opened, refrigerant leakage may be suppressed or prevented during a compression stroke.

    Abstract: A vane rotary compressor has a cylinder. A main bearing and a sub bearing are coupled to the cylinder forming a compression space. The main and sub bearing each have a back pressure pocket on a surface facing the cylinder. The main bearing and the sub bearing radially support a rotation shaft. A roller coupled to the shaft is disposed within the compression space. The roller has circumferentially spaced vane slots, each vane slot extending from an open end on an outer circumferential surface of the roller to a back pressure chamber disposed within the roller at an opposite end of each vane slot. A plurality of vanes slide within the vane slots and divide the compression space into compression chambers. At least one of the back pressure chambers in the vane slots fluidly communicates with at least one of the back pressure pockets in the main and sub bearings.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor is disclosed. The rotary compressor may include a casing, a cylinder, main and sub bearings, a rotational shaft, a roller, at least one vane, and a vane support portion that axially supports the at least one vane formed on a bearing surface to extend along a reciprocating direction of the at least one vane from an inner circumferential surface of at least one back pressure pocket at an end of circumferential ends of the at least one back pressure pocket, adjacent to a contact point, and/or protrude axially from the inner circumferential surface of the at least one back pressure pocket and extend in a circumferential direction. This may secure a wide axial support area for a rear end of the at least one vane passing the contact point and/or near the contact point, to suppress or prevent axial tilting of the at least one vane, thereby reducing friction loss, wear, and vibration noise due to the axial tilting of the at least one vane during operation of the compressor.
