    Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include a cylinder; a chamber eccentrically formed in the cylinder and accommodating a predetermined working fluid; a rotor rotatably received in the chamber and arranged so as to be concentric to the cylinder; first and second bearings disposed on upper and lower portions, respectively, of the cylinder so as to close the chamber, and which support a drive shaft of the rotor; a plurality of vanes movably installed on the rotor in a radial direction thereof, and protruding from the rotor up to an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder so as to divide the chamber into a plurality of compression spaces; first and second guide grooves which, in order to accommodate a portion of the vanes, are formed on respective surfaces, facing the chamber, of the first and second bearings so as to be concentric to the chamber, and guide the plurality of vanes while the rotor is rotating so that the plurality of vanes continuously protrude up to the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder; and an auxiliary bearing which is provided in at least one of the first guide groove or the second guide groove and rotating with the plurality of vanes.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a compressor including a rounded portion surrounding a discharge port, including a cylinder without an oil-blocking structure for ease of shaping the rounded portion, and including a valve-recess cover coupled to the cylinder. At least one valve-recess is defined in an outer face portion of the cylinder. A discharge valve assembly is fixedly received in the valve-recess, wherein the discharge valve assembly is configured for opening and closing the discharge port. The valve-recess is defined between the outer face, primary and secondary side blocks. The rounded portion surrounds the discharge port, to reduce a contact area between the discharge port and the valve assembly.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor may include a rotational shaft, a first bearing and a second bearing each supporting the rotational shaft in a radial direction, a cylinder disposed between the first bearing and the second bearing and forming a compression space, a roller disposed in the compression space to form a contact point spaced at a predetermined interval from the cylinder and coupled to the rotational shaft to compress a refrigerant in response to rotation of the roller, and at least one vane slidably inserted into the roller and in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder and dividing the compression space into a plurality of compression chambers. Each of the at least one vane may include a pin that extends in an axial direction of the rotational shaft. An inner lower surface of the first bearing or an upper surface of the second bearing may include a rail groove into which the pin is inserted.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a first back pressure unit that allows a refrigerant to flow from a first compression chamber to a back pressure chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant, and a second back pressure unit that allows the refrigerant to flow from the back pressure chamber to a second compression chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant. The first back pressure unit and the second back pressure unit may be spaced apart from each other in a direction that the compression chambers are formed. This may reduce pressure pulsation in the back pressure chamber. Also, leakage between compression chambers may be suppressed and simultaneously friction loss may be reduced by appropriately adjusting the pressure in the back pressure chamber. This is especially advantageous for enhancing compression efficiency under low load operating conditions (or in a low pressure ratio operation).

    Abstract: A hermetic compressor is provided that may include a vane that is inserted into a roller, rotates with the roller, and is pushed out toward an inner circumference of a cylinder by rotation of the roller to divide the compression chamber into a plurality of spaces. The vane may include a body having a sealing surface that contacts the inner circumference of the cylinder and inserted into the roller; and a guide that extends from an axial end of the body in a direction crossing a direction the vane slides out, and that is slidably inserted into a guide groove formed on at least one of the first bearing or the second bearing to restrain the vane from sliding out of the roller toward the inner circumference of the cylinder.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a two-stage rotary compressor in which refrigerant inhaled into a compression space of a cylinder is compressed sequentially in two axially connected compression chambers and then is discharged. A rotary compressor according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first compression unit and a second compression unit arranged on and along a single rotation shaft. Middle-pressure refrigerant discharged from the first compression unit flows into the second compression unit. A maximum gas force of the first compression unit and a maximum gas force of the second compression unit counteract with each other, thereby reducing a reaction force acting on a rotation shaft. According to the present disclosure, a single rotary compressor is configured to separately achieve the stroke volume increase and the compression period increase.
