Abstract: A laundry treatment apparatus includes a laundry receiving unit, a duct for supplying air to the laundry receiving unit, a first heat exchanger for exchanging heat with air introduced into the duct, a second heat exchanger located in the duct for exchanging heat with air that has passed through the first heat exchanger, and a heat transfer unit. The heat transfer unit includes a first conductor making contact with the first heat exchanger and connected to a positive electrode of a direct current (DC) power source, a second conductor making contact with the first heat exchanger and connected to a negative electrode of the DC power source, the second conductor being separated from the first conductor, a third conductor making contact with the second heat exchanger, a P-type semiconductor interconnecting the first conductor and the third conductor, and an N-type semiconductor interconnecting the second conductor and the third conductor.

Abstract: A cooking appliance may include a cavity configured to accommodate food to be cooked, a heater disposed in the cavity, a thermistor disposed in the cavity and configured to measure a temperature of the cavity, a blowing fan disposed outside the cavity and configured to discharge air from the cavity to a surroundings of the cavity, a circuit breaker disposed outside the cavity and configured to cut off power to the cooking appliance, and a controller configured to control an operation of the cooking appliance. Additionally, a method for controlling the cooking appliance may include operating the blowing fan when the temperature of the cavity reaches a first set temperature, stopping the operation of the blowing fan when the temperature of the cavity increases, and cutting off the power to the cooking appliance when a temperature of the circuit breaker reaches a fourth set temperature.

Abstract: A method for controlling cleaning of a cooking appliance is discussed. The cooking appliance may include a cavity configured to accommodate food to be cooked, the cavity including a panel, a broil heater configured to apply radiant heat to the cavity, and a bake heater configured to heat the panel. Additionally, the method may include selecting a mode including selecting a self-clean mode of the cavity, increasing an internal temperature of the cavity to a set second temperature, and maintaining the internal temperature of the cavity at the second temperature. Further, the increasing the internal temperature may include controlling a temperature increase rate inside the cavity in the increasing the internal temperature by operating the broil heater and the bake heater alternately.
