    摘要: A dielectric barrier discharge lamp is disclosed, which has a discharge vessel enclosing with a wall a discharge volume filled with discharge gas. There is a phosphor layer within the discharge volume. The discharge lamp comprises first and second sets of interconnected electrodes, which are isolated from the discharge volume by at least one dielectric layer. At least one of the dielectric layers is the wall of the discharge vessel. Both the first and second sets of electrodes are located external to the discharge vessel. Advantageously, the discharge vessel comprises an outer tubular portion with an internal surface and an inner tubular portion with an outward surface. The outer tubular portion surrounds the inner tubular portion, and the discharge volume is enclosed between the internal surface of the outer tubular portion and the outward surface of the inner tubular portion.

    摘要: A dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) lamp is disclosed. The DBD lamp comprises a discharge vessel, which encloses a discharge volume filled with discharge gas. The discharge vessel further comprises a phosphor layer within the discharge volume. The discharge vessel comprises an outer tubular portion having an internal surface, and an inner tubular portion having an outward surface. The outer tubular portion surrounds the inner tubular portion. In this manner, a substantially annular discharge volume is enclosed between the outer tubular portion and the inner tubular portion. The inner tubular portion comprises a multitude of protrusions around its circumference. The protrusions extend into the substantially annular discharge volume. A first set of interconnected electrodes and a second set of interconnected electrodes are also provided. The electrodes are isolated from the discharge volume by at least one dielectric layer, and at least one of the dielectric layers is constituted by the wall of the inner tubular portion.

    摘要: The invention relates to a fluorescent lamp, preferably a low pressure mercury discharge lamp for stimulating previtamin D3 production. The lamp has a discharge tube with a discharge gas filling. The inside wall of the discharge tube is covered with a phosphor coating for converting short wave UV radiation of the ionized discharge gas into longer wave UV radiation. The discharge tube is closed at both ends and provided with electrodes which are held and lead through a base cap at both ends. The base caps of the lamp are provided with contact pins for connecting the lamp to an electrical power supply.According to the improvement of the invention the UV light radiating coating of the discharge tube comprises a first phosphor for emitting light waves in the UVB spectrum and a second phosphor for emitting light waves in the visible light spectrum and for suppressing the emitted light in the UVB spectrum.

Each discharge vessel encloses a discharge volume filled with a discharge gas. The discharge vessels are arranged substantially parallel to their principal axis and adjacent to each other. In one embodiment, the discharge vessels are adjacent to each other in a lattice, and the first and second electrode sets are located between the discharge vessels in interstitial voids of the lattice.
