摘要： A differential pressure operated gas lift includes a valve element movable in a tubular body to open and close a gas flow passage having flow restricting orifices upstream thereof. A coil spring tends to open the valve element. In the open position of the valve element an external pressure responsive surface engages a seat which is axially adjustable to vary the spring force and change the length of travel of the valve element between its open and closed positions. The reopening differential pressure can be changed while maintaining the same closing pressure differential. Very large injection rates can be implemented at low differential pressures.

摘要： An endoscopic forceps includes a housing having a shaft attached thereto that supports a pair of jaws disposed at a distal end thereof. A drive assembly having a drive shaft with a proximal end is operable to move the jaws relative to one another from an open to closed positions. A knife assembly is operable to advance a knife through tissue disposed between the jaws and includes a flange disposed thereon. A knife lockout is included that has a flange configured to engage the proximal end of the drive shaft and a lockout arm configured to engage the flange of the knife assembly to prevent movement thereof. Movement of the jaws to the closed position causes the proximal end of the drive shaft to engage the flange on the lockout which causes the lockout arm to disengage the flange on the knife assembly to permit advancement of the knife.

Using one system, an assembly of articles distributes one pill at a time in the form of a single-pill dispensing apparatus that includes a pill-storage container and such a pill-filtering article. The container has an inner wall, an upper portion with a rim region where a cap may be secured, and a lower portion for containing pills. The pill-filtering article has a size and a shape that facilitates securing the article inside the pill-storage container near the inner wall, above the lower portion, and below the upper rim region, and also configured with a plurality of channel-defining regions including a first channel-defining region through which one-pill at a time passes and including a second channel-defining region through which one pill at a time passes.

摘要： The present invention is a power system using a reformer/fuel cell arrangement as the primary source of DC power. The reformer is operated on either natural gas or propane. A backup source of power consumes hydrogen which is diffused from a solid medium. On an as-needed basis, the medium is reacted to release hydrogen gas which is consumed by a fuel cell to generate backup DC power. The system also includes Lithium-Metal-Polymer batteries which are used for both bridging and backup purposes.

摘要： The present invention includes a power system that is designed to provide reliable electrical power to a facility, and specifically to a telecommunications facility. The system includes a number of proton exchange membranes (PEMs) adapted to provide DC power. The system is configured so that the PEMs receive fuel from a header that is supplied by a number of hydrogen generators. Storage tanks are also included to provide hydrogen to the header if the hydrogen generators fail. The hydrogen generators receive electricity initially from an array of photovoltaic panels. If the photovoltaic panels fail then AC power from a commercial utility is provided to the hydrogen generators. Finally, the system includes a number of super capacitors that are operable to maintain power during the time required to change between power sources.

摘要： The invention relates to a valve suitable for use in high-pressure environment for transmitting a treatment fluid from exterior of which is affected by a pre-charged compression gas which keeps the bellows in contracted position and a piston preventing fluid communication between the tubing and the casing through the valve body. The interior of the bellows is affected by the tubing pressure, one half of which is transmitted to the bellows through radial sensing ports, and the other half of which is transmitted to the bellows through the bottom of the piston. When the pressure inside the bellows exceeds the pre-charged pressure, the bellows expands, pulling the piston upwardly and opening fluid communication from the tubing into the casing through the valve. A controlled-size fluid outlet port allows the tubing fluid to exit into the casing.
