    摘要: A method of manufacturing an optimized sheet metal (1) of a zirconium based alloy is described, which optimized sheet metal (1) defines a sheet plane (BA). The method comprises the steps of providing a sheet metal (2) of a zirconium based. alloy, subjecting the sheet metal (2) to at least a preparing cold rolling and a final cold rolling, wherein the preparing cold rolling and the final cold rolling are both performed in a common rolling direction, and heat treating the sheet metal (1) between the preparing cold rolling and the final cold rolling so that the zirconium based alloy is partially re-crystallized. A method of manufacturing a spacer grid using an optimized sheet metal (1) according to the invention is also described.

    摘要: A modular electrical system for mounting on furniture components such as wall panels. The system includes modules which each include at least one power block provides increased electrical circuit capacity, which capacity in the preferred embodiment is at least six electrical circuits. The power block provides different groupings of circuits which are externally accessible, such as for connection to removable receptacle units, on opposite sides thereof. Flexible electrical connectors are provided for connection to and transmitting electrical power between power blocks of adjacent panels. Each connector transmits only one grouping of electrical circuits therethrough, whereby two such connectors are normally utilized for connection between adjacent power blocks of adjacent panels to transmit all electrical circuits therebetween. The individual flexible electrical connectors can be used for transmitting electrical energy into branching panels, which branching panels may be provided with only the selected grouping of circuits.

    摘要: An electrical system for an interior space-dividing system which, in a preferred embodiment, constitutes an eight-wire, three-circuit system. The electrical system is prefabricated and includes elongate harnesses mounted within channels which extend interiorly or portable space-dividing members. Adjacent harnesses are electrically joined by flexible electrical jumpers which create pluglike connections with power blocks provided on the ends of adjacent harnesses. Receptacle units are removably connectable to at least one side of each power block, and have circuit-selecting capability to facilitate access to all three circuits from adjacent work areas. The receptacle unit includes at least two exteriorly accessible receptacles of conventional configuration associated with a front face of the receptacle unit housing, and the housing internally includes independent sets of three conductors each respectively associated with one of the receptacles and each set having independent circuit-selecting structure associated therewith so that each of the two receptacles associated with a single receptacle unit can be independently circuit selected.

    摘要: A vision system for a vehicle, such as a mobile robot (10) includes at least one radiation projector (14, 16) which projects a structured beam of radiation into the robot's environment. The structured beam of radiation (14a, 16a) preferably has a substantially planar pattern of sufficient width to encompass the immediate forward path of the robot and also to encompass laterally disposed areas in order to permit turning adjustments. The vision system further includes an imaging (12) sensor such as a CCD imaging device having a two-dimensional field of view which encompasses the immediate forward path of the robot. An image sensor processor (18) includes an image memory (18A) coupled to a device (18D) which is operable for accessing the image memory. Image processing is accomplished in part by triangulating the stored image of the structured beam pattern to derive range and bearing, relative to the robot, of an object being illuminated. A navigation control system (20) of the robot inputs data from at least the vision system and infers therefrom data relating to the configuration of the environment which lies in front of the robot. The navigation control system generates control signals which drive propulsion and steering motors in order to navigate the robot through the perceived environment.

In that the lights present a pattern or alignment which is substantially parallel to or perpendicular to a long axis of the hallway the pattern is detected and processed to derive robot navigation information therefrom.
