    Abstract: A cargo-module arrangement for a vehicle having a body-in-white (BIW) portion and a load floor secured to the BIW portion may include a cargo platform disposed above the load floor and having a front edge and a back edge. The cargo platform may be selectively movable along a track arrangement in forward and rearward directions and include a cargo gate disposed proximate to the back edge. The cargo gate may include a forward edge and a rearward edge and may be pivotable upward about at least one of the forward edge or the rearward edge.

    Abstract: A driver assistance method and system are disclosed for alerting a driver of a host vehicle. The method includes detecting that the host vehicle is stationary in a lane at an intersection having a traffic signal, receiving input indicating it is permissible for traffic in the lane to proceed through the intersection, and determining whether an object is present in front of the host vehicle in the lane. The method also includes, in response to the receipt of the input and based on the determination whether an object is present in front of the host vehicle in the lane, determining that the host has not transitioned from stationary to moving, and generating an alert for the driver in response to the determination that the host vehicle has not transitioned from stationary to moving.

    Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly is provided with a seat bottom that is adapted to be mounted to a vehicle floor. A seatback is adapted to be pivotally mounted adjacent to the seat bottom. An actuator is in cooperation with the seat bottom or the seatback. A controller is in electrical communication with the actuator and programmed to receive input indicative of a potential vehicle impact. In response to receiving the input indicative of the potential vehicle impact, the controller outputs a signal to the actuator to tilt the seatback, or to tilt the seat bottom.

    Abstract: An attachment mechanism may include an assembly having an engagement member moveable between retracted and extended positions, a latch member movable between latched and unlatched positions, and a fastener member moveable between unlock and lock positions. The mechanism may include a housing configured to receive the assembly and having a receptacle formed therein to receive the engagement member in the extended position. During insertion of the assembly in the housing, the latch member may be configured to automatically move from the latched to the unlatched position and the engagement member may be configured to automatically move from the retracted to the extended position into the receptacle. In response to movement of the latch member to the unlatched position, the fastener member may be configured to automatically move from the unlock to the lock position to lock the engagement member in the extended position for attachment of the assembly and housing.

    Abstract: A seat includes a seat bottom having an occupant support surface, a seatback connected to the seat bottom, the seatback having an occupant support side cooperating with the occupant support surface, and a rear side, and an energy absorbing feature including a rigid member connected to the rear side of the seatback. The rigid member is movable between a storage position adjacent the seatback, and a deployed position extending into a cargo space of a vehicle upon detection or occurrence of an impact event. In the deployed position, the rigid member is capable of interfacing with cargo, a cargo floor, or both, to reduce force imparted on and deflection of the seatback and deflect cargo from impacting the seatback.

    Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a system for performing biometric evoked response monitoring and feedback for a vehicle is provided. The system includes a plurality of sensors and at least one controller. The plurality of sensors may be positioned about a main cabin of the vehicle and each sensor is configured to provide a first signal indicative of a measured electromagnetic characteristic of an anatomical feature of a driver for the vehicle in response to an alert being issued to the driver. The at least one controller is configured to receive the first signal and to determine a stimulus response and an attentiveness response of the driver based on the measured electromagnetic characteristic of the anatomical feature of the driver.
