摘要: A method for automatically switching between partition configurations at a scheduled time period includes storing, at a service processor, a plurality of partition configurations for a computing system, the plurality of partition configurations allocating hardware resources of the computing system. The method includes associating a configuration schedule with the plurality of partition configurations, where each of the plurality of partition configurations is associated with a scheduled time period, and booting the computing system to a particular partition configuration at a particular scheduled time period corresponding to the particular partition configuration.

摘要: A baseboard management controller in a partitionable multi-processor system may perform operations including receiving a plurality of event notifications from the partitionable multi-processor system including one or more event notifications from a first partitioned node including a first subset of hardware devices of the multi-processor system and one or more event notifications from a second partitioned node including a second subset of the hardware devices of the multi-processor system, wherein each event notification identifies an event and a specific one of the hardware devices that experienced the event. The operations may further include receiving a request for an event log for the first partitioned node and providing the requested event log for the first partitioned node including only those event notifications that identify a hardware device that is included in the first partitioned node.

摘要: A computer program product includes a non-volatile computer readable medium and non-transitory program instructions embodied therein, the program instructions being configured to be executable by a processor of a baseboard management controller in a multi-processor system to cause the processor to perform various operations. The operations include initiating disabling of a processor interconnect between first and second central processing units in the multi-processor system and initiating boot of the first central processing unit, wherein the first central processing unit operates in a first partitioned node independent of the second central processing unit.

摘要: Detecting a compromised system using an integrated management controller including receiving a workload characterization for an expected hardware utilization of a computing system, wherein the workload characterization is a pattern of expected hardware utilization of computing hardware on the computing system, and wherein the workload characterization comprises hardware utilization thresholds; storing the workload characterization on an integrated management controller communicatively coupled to the computing hardware on the computing system; monitoring the computing hardware of the computing system using the integrated management controller, including comparing the hardware utilization thresholds of the workload characterization to measured hardware utilization of the computing hardware; determining that the computing system is compromised based on detecting that the measured hardware utilization of the computing hardware has exceeded one of the hardware utilization thresholds of the workload characterization; and performing a notification action in response to determining that the computing system is compromised.

A connection module connects the conference device to the client device in response to receiving a connection confirmation from the client device.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for context sensitive contact substitution for mobile communications. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for context sensitive contact substitution for mobile communications includes selecting a contact disposed within a list of contacts in memory of a mobile computing device for use in establishing a telephone call with the selected contact through the mobile computing device. The method also includes determining a context of the telephone call and identifying in the list of contacts an alternate contact to the selected contact based upon the determined context. In this regard, the context may be a location of the mobile computing device, or a time of day of establishing the telephone call, to name two examples. Finally, the method includes establishing the telephone call through the mobile computing device with the alternate contact instead of the selected contact.

摘要: A method includes a client device forming a link-layer protocol packet having a field that includes first credentials of the client device and sending the link-layer protocol packet to a directly attached network device while the client device is in a first configuration. The method further includes a management system obtaining the first credentials from the network device and using the first credentials to access the client device and change the client device from the first configuration to a second configuration. Optionally, a computer system may include a plurality of client devices that implement the method to facilitate securely configuring the entire computer system. Preferably, each client device generates system-unique first credentials.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for managing a storage device using a hybrid controller are provided where the storage device comprises an internal peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) interface to control solid state memory within the storage device. In particular embodiments, the storage device includes a first external interface configured to establish an external PCIe link and a second external interface configured to establish at least one of an external serial attached small computer system interface (SAS) link and an external serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) link. Embodiments include receiving from an external source, by the hybrid controller, a first command at the first external interface and a second command at the second external interface; and concurrently implementing, by the hybrid controller, the first command using a PCIe protocol and the second command using one of a SAS protocol and a SATA protocol.
