    摘要: A combination heat sink/air director apparatus includes conduction plates extending into gaps between dual in-line memory module (“DIMM”) installed in computing device. A plurality of thermal interface material (“TIM”) pads are coupled to each side of each of the plurality of conduction plates. A heat sink thermally is coupled to the conduction plates and mounted above the conduction plates. Air impedance of air flow through an interface includes air flow to the heat sink is selected to balance air flow between the interface and components adjacent to the interface. A chosen percentage of air flow passes through the interface for the balance of air flow. Each conduction plate and the TIM pads coupled to each side of the conduction plate are sized to contact and thermally couple to the DIMMs of the plurality of DIMMs on either side of the conduction plate and associated TIM pads.

    摘要: A method for allowing a firmware update when a digital certificate for a firmware update image is expired includes initiating a firmware update of a computing device and determining, using a secure boot process, that a firmware update image has an expired digital certificate. The firmware update image is stored in nonvolatile memory accessible to a service processor and to a host processor of the computing device. The method includes determining that the firmware update image and an image of firmware with code of the secure boot process were digitally signed by a same entity and overriding the secure boot process to allow execution of the firmware update image in response to determining that the firmware update image and the image of the firmware with code of the secure boot process were digitally signed by a same entity.

    摘要: A replacement node replaces a failed node and a baseboard management controller (BMC) for the replacement node generates a nonce code that is accessible to an authenticated user. An edge management node receives the nonce code from the user and sends a maintenance token to a BMC of a peer node in an edge cluster, wherein the peer nodes BMCs within the cluster are in a BMC federation that included the failed node BMC and have access to a BMC configuration for the failed node. The management node sends the token and the nonce code to the replacement node BMC for authentication of the token. The peer node BMC sends the token received from the management node to the replacement node BMC for authentication of the peer node BMC. The authenticated peer node BMC may then deploy the BMC configuration to the replacement node BMC.

    摘要: A baseboard management controller in a partitionable multi-processor system may perform operations including receiving a plurality of event notifications from the partitionable multi-processor system including one or more event notifications from a first partitioned node including a first subset of hardware devices of the multi-processor system and one or more event notifications from a second partitioned node including a second subset of the hardware devices of the multi-processor system, wherein each event notification identifies an event and a specific one of the hardware devices that experienced the event. The operations may further include receiving a request for an event log for the first partitioned node and providing the requested event log for the first partitioned node including only those event notifications that identify a hardware device that is included in the first partitioned node.

The second data signals and second command and address signals may be directed to a data conversion module that converts the signals to be communicated over a serial computer expansion bus with the second memory module.
