    摘要: By altering existing code to wrap debugging items with runtime conditional statements, the debugging items may remain in commercial builds of code. Execution of a given conditional statement, wrapping a particular debugging item, may require a read of a particular location in an expandable and organized table such that execution of the particular debugging item is dependent on the value stored in the particular location in the table. By storing appropriate values in the table, a very focused debugging operation may be carried out. When implemented on a mobile communication device, such a focused debugging operation may be considered to conserve limited memory resources and reduce radio costs when compared to an unfocused debugging operation, which can create a large log file that is difficult to store and expensive to transmit.

    摘要: The disclosure describes a system and method for controlling a light for a component of an electronic device. An embodiment uses brightness evaluation zones and progresses through one or more of the zones to determine whether and when to activate the light for given conditions of ambient light. In doing so, the embodiment sets a current brightness evaluation zone for the device and sets an activation status of the light level to an activation value associated with the current brightness evaluation zone. The embodiment compares an ambient light level for the device to the current brightness evaluation zone. Evaluation loops are provided to test and change the current brightness evaluation zone against the detected ambient light. The light may be a backlight.

    摘要: Network selection methods and apparatus with home network prioritization in country border regions are disclosed. In one illustrative example, a mobile station (200) is associated with a home communication network (402) having a home mobile country code (MCC). Being outside of the home network country, however, the mobile station (200) selects and operates with a non-home communication network (406) having a visiting MCC. After expiration of a timer, the mobile station (200) scans to identify a plurality of networks in a coverage area within which the mobile station (200) is operating. If the home network (402) having the home MCC is identified as being available, the mobile station (200) selects and operates with the home network (200). Otherwise, if the non-home network (406) having the visiting MCC is identified as being available, the mobile station (200) selects and operates with the non-home network (406).
