摘要: Media, methods and systems are provided for coordinating changes of network sources for media streams in a telecommunications network. The streams communicate instances of media content via packets to devices. A first network source streams packets of an instance of media content to a device. Each packet includes information regarding the temporal ordering of that packet within the instance and information regarding the sequencing of the packet within the stream. It is determined that a second network source should stream the instance of media content. A point in the temporal ordering within the instance is identified and communicated at which the second network source will provide the instance of media content. The second network source streams to the mobile device the instance of media content from the identified point, without requiring adjustment of the information regarding the sequencing of the packets within the stream.

摘要: Methods and products for ensuring that incoming voicemails are stored on a voicemail server are provided. One embodiment of a method includes receiving an incoming voicemail that is to be stored in connection with a user account, determining that a threshold capacity of storage allocation associated with storing the voicemail has been crossed; identifying a mobile device associated with the user account, and moving a given amount of data from the storage location to the mobile device.

摘要: Computer readable media and methods are provided for initiating a failover state in a network element. A failover is when the element's traffic is routed to a redundant element which takes over the functions of the element, and any session state information stored in the element is also transferred to the redundant element. If a failover occurs with an upstream element, a downstream element is not aware of the failover and does not transfer its session state information to its redundant element. By maintaining a database of historic usage information, the downstream element can determine that an upstream failover has occurred when the amount of data it is processing drops below a minimum usage threshold. The minimum usage threshold is based on the historical usage data and a relationship between a given time in the past and the current time.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method and system, in which a network entity determines that an HTTP response destined to a client station contains a markup document that references at least one object but that the HTTP response does not contain the object. In response, in addition to sending the HTTP response to the client station, the network entity will send to the client station a supplemental HTTP response that contains the object, without the client station sending a request for the object. By avoiding the need for the client station to send a request for the object, the extent of HTTP communication by the client station is reduced. In the situation where the client station is a wireless handset or other wireless communication device, the method is particularly advantageous, as the method can reduce the number of air interface communications and can thus help to conserve valuable air interface resources.

摘要: A surgical apparatus includes an elongated cannula having an external sidewall surface and a lumen extending between a cannula proximal regional and a cannula distal region, the cannula is further configured to receive an endoscope, and has a handle located at the cannula proximal region, a first wire extending from the cannula distal region and adapted to slide longitudinally with respect to the cannula in both a distal and proximal direction via a control at the handle, and a ring connected to the first wire. The ring has a curved surface with concavity hollowed towards a region of the cannula configured to receive the endoscope.

摘要: A retractor and a surgical tool are positioned within a cannula, and a dissection cradle of the retractor is positioned at the distal end of the cannula. The retractor includes a first portion with an axis approximately parallel to the axis of the cannula and a second portion with an axis that can be skewed relative to the axis of the cannula. The dissection cradle is located at the distal end of the second portion of the retractor, and may include two substantially parallel, spaced legs with the retractor shaped in a loop between and in a plane skewed relative to the axes of the legs, and with the loop directed away from the surgical tool. Thus, in operation, a surgeon locates a vessel and side branch of interest and extends the retractor to cradle the vessel in the dissection cradle. Once cradled, the retractor may be deflected to urge the vessel away from the axis of the cannula to isolate the side branch for exposure to the surgical tool. Removable, transparent tips are selectively positioned at the distal end of the cannula for performing dissection and transection via a single cannula. Additionally, the tips are configured to align the apices of the tips with the central axis of the endoscope to maximize the visual field through the tips via the endoscope. Wing-like protrusions on an alternate tip for the cannula facilitate tissue dissection in forming a tunnel in tissue along a target vessel. Swept back forward edges on the wing-like protrusions promote easy tissue dissection using reduced force to advance the cannula and alternate tip through tissue surrounding the target vessel.
