Abstract: A horological component is disclosed, which comprises at least one portion made of colored forged carbon comprising cut carbon fibers, secured to one another by a matrix comprising at least one resin as component, and at least one pigment, the pigment taking the form of solid particles that cannot be mixed with, or are not soluble in, the resin or resins of which the matrix is composed, and the particles of pigment being situated on the surface of at least some of the carbon fibers and located in one or more predefined regions of the portion of horological component. A manufacturing method allowing such a horological component to be produced is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a manufacturing process for a watch component (50) in composite material with a ceramic matrix comprising the following steps: depositing in a mould a succession of layers (10, 20, 30, 40) each comprising a ceramic powder (12), at least one layer (10; 10, 30; 10, 20, 30, 40) further including fibres (14) mixed with the ceramic powder (12), the fibres (14) being arranged randomly; performing a FAST/SPS sintering operation; demoulding the sintered watch component comprising the succession of layers (10, 20, 30, 40), and optionally machining the sintered component to the final dimensions of the watch component (50). The fibres (14) are visible on the surface of the watch component (50).

Abstract: A case element for a timepiece is described, having a through-hole and bearing a pushbutton including a tube, that is accommodated inside the through-hole and is closed by an actuating surface at its end oriented towards the outside, the actuating surface being intended to be pressed by a user in order to actuate a timepiece mechanism arranged inside the case element, wherein the pushbutton is made in one piece, of a bulk metallic glass, and further includes a connection surface which is arranged against the case element so as to establish a permanent, water-resistant connection with the latter, and wherein the actuating surface is able to move, with respect to the connection surface, in response to a pressure exerted thereon by the user. A corresponding production method is also described.
