Abstract:
A method including, while link status information of first and second stations conflict, one of: receiving a request signal from the second station and based on the request signal, transmitting a response signal from the first station to the second station via a previously established link, where the request signal requests establishment of a new link between the first and second stations; and transmitting a data signal including a packet to the second station, where the data signal satisfies an address resolution protocol. The method further includes: subsequent to receiving the request signal or transmitting the data signal, tearing down the link status information of the first station including changing the link status information of the first station to match the link status information of the second station; and subsequent to tearing down the link status information of the first station, establishing the new link with the second station.
Abstract:
A method of controlling transmission of data units in a network node includes receiving a current fragment of a data unit at the network node, the data unit having been fragmented into an ordered sequence of fragments prior to the current fragment being received at the network node. The method also includes determining, at the network node, whether the current fragment is expected. Determining whether the current fragment is expected includes determining a position of the current fragment within the ordered sequence of fragments. The method also includes, in response to determining that the current fragment is expected based on the determined position of the current fragment within the ordered sequence of fragments, transmitting the current fragment via a network link.
