    Abstract: There are provided a center pillar, a roof side rail connected to an upper end portion of the center pillar and having a closed cross section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and a synthetic resin-made reinforcing member provided inside the roof side rail at a position near an upper end portion of the center pillar. The roof side rail comprises a roof rail inner having a protrusion portion and a roof rail outer forming the closed cross section together with the roof rail inner. The reinforcing member is provided to have a gap from the roof rail outer and integrally joined to an outward face, in a vehicle width direction, of the roof rail inner which is roughened by an anchor effect.

    Abstract: Provided is a frame which is made of a fiber reinforced composite and where a bending strength and a vibration damping capability are compatible. The frame which is made of a fiber reinforced composite includes: a compressive wall part where a compressive stress occurs in a longitudinal direction of the frame when the frame receives a bending load in a normal direction perpendicularly intersecting the longitudinal direction; a side wall part extending in the normal direction and defining one of the corners with the compressive wall part; and a tension wall part which is away from the compressive wall part and extends in the longitudinal direction, and where a tensile stress occurs in the longitudinal direction when the frame receives the bending load. The tension wall part has a loss coefficient which is larger than a loss coefficient of the compressive wall part by 0.005 or more.

    Abstract: A bead portion is provided at a compression-side wall portion to be recessed toward an inside of a main closed cross section. A first reinforcing member is provided in the closed cross section and joined to a tension-side wall portion so as to form a first sub cross section extending in a longitudinal direction between the tension-side wall portion and the first reinforcing member.
