Abstract: A method for enhanced call control using User Equipment (UE)-triggered fallback procedure is provided. A UE starts a guard timer in response to initiating or receiving an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) call in a mobile communication network which utilizes a first Radio Access Technology (RAT). The UE determines whether a condition for call continuation in the mobile communication network is met when the guard timer expires. The UE triggers a fallback from the first RAT to a second RAT in response to the condition for call continuation in the mobile communication network not being met.

Abstract: A method for configuration enhancements on Access Point Name (APN) or Data Network Name (DNN) selection in a User Equipment (UE) is provided. The UE receives a message from a mobile communication network. In particular, the message includes information on an input source of an APN value or a DNN value. Based on the information, the UE uses the APN value or the DNN value to request establishment of a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection or a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session with the mobile communication network.

Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a mobile communication network. The controller determines whether the mobile communication network supports IMS services. The controller establishes a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection or a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session with the mobile communication network for the IMS services via the wireless transceiver in response to the mobile communication network supporting the IMS services. Abstract: A method for robust moving between a roaming Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) network and a non-3GPP network is provided. The method includes the steps of: connecting with a home 3GPP network over one of a roaming 3GPP network and a non-3GPP network by a User Equipment (UE); performing a first initial attach procedure with the home 3GPP network over the other of the roaming 3GPP network and the non-3GPP network by the UE in response to the UE moving from the one of the roaming 3GPP network and the non-3GPP network to the other of the roaming 3GPP network and the non-3GPP network; and keeping the connection over the one of the roaming 3GPP network and the non-3GPP network by the UE during the first initial attach procedure over the other of the roaming 3GPP network and the non-3GPP network.
