    摘要: This invention proposes efficient data transmission methods in the mobile cellular network. A specific resource pool is divided into several resource groups to indicate the size level of the data available for transmission. The base station allocates a proper UL grant to the terminal. Based on the allocated UL grant, the terminal compares the granted Transport Block (TB) size with the size of data available for transmission. If the UL grant is large enough, the terminal transmits the data available for transmission in the allocated UL resource, otherwise, re-attempts the random access procedure. In another example, the terminal transmits a BSR message and as much of the data as is available for transmission. The base station may grant additional UL resources if there is remaining data to be transmitted. A timer is used for the terminal to decide whether waiting for the additional UL grant from the base station.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided to report channel status with transmission repetition. In one novel aspect, the mobile station computes a transmission efficiency for a transport block, which is repeatedly transmitted such that the transport block is received with a predefined receiving quality; determines a channel quality indicator based on the transmission efficiency and transmits it to a base station. In one embodiment, the transport block is repeatedly transmitted over multiple subframes. In another novel aspect, the mobile station computes a plurality of transmission efficiencies corresponding to a plurality of transport blocks, wherein at least one transport block is repeatedly transmitted such that each transport block is received with a pre-defined receiving quality. The mobile station determines one or more channel quality indicators based on the transmission efficiencies and transmits either the channel quality indicator with the highest efficiency or each channel quality indicator to a base station.

In another embodiment, the UE reports its CE status upon detecting CE status changes. The eNB stores UE CE information and forwards it to neighboring eNBs in the same paging area.     摘要: A method of fast synchronization for low coverage machine type communication (MTC) devices is proposed. A machine-specific synchronization signal “mSYNC” with higher density in time and frequency is transmitted from each base station for fast timing and frequency acquisition and tracking. The mSYNC has a relatively longer periodicity (i.e., >>5 ms) to reduce overhead and inter-cell interference. The higher time-frequency density of mSYNC is designed to improve latency and power consumption by allowing the machine to wake up just before the scheduled mSYNC transmission time and to re-synchronize or track synchronization with the network without the need for long averaging time.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided to enhance HARQ mechanism. In one novel aspect, the UE decodes resource blocks in a HARQ indicator channel and detects a single-state HARQ indicator encoded with a UE ID of the UE. The UE determines a HARQ acknowledgment status for the data transmission based on the HARQ indicator. In one embodiment, the HARQ indicator channel is either a UE-specific channel, a group-specific channel or a cell-specific channel. In another novel aspect, the UE increases a HARQ count upon decoding the HARQ indicator channel. The UE retransmits the data transmission if the HARQ count is smaller than a predefined maximum HARQ count and the HARQ acknowledgement status is determined to be negative. Otherwise, the UE stops the data transmission. In another embodiment, the UE terminates the data transmission is the total repetition number is greater than a predefined maximum data transmission number.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for obtaining a response message for CB access uplink transmission are disclosed. In one novel aspect, UE performs a CB access uplink transmission, selects a first group of radio resources for one or more candidate control-less response message blocks with corresponding transmission repetition number, retrieves and decodes one candidate response message block corresponds to one sub-group of resources in the first group of radio resources and determines if the candidate response message is intended for the UE. In one embodiment, the UE obtains the candidate response message by determining one or more repetition number and obtaining corresponding sub-group of resources from the starting point(s). In another embodiment, the UE determines one or more frequency locations to obtain the candidate response message. In yet another embodiment, the UE selects a second group of radio resources if no response message is detected within the first group of radio resources.
