Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include accessing various portions of contextual information based on at least one touch input from a touch-based sensor on a mobile electronic device. The method may next include determining, based on the contextual information, which of different operational antenna parameters associated with at least one antenna of the mobile electronic device are to be changed. The method may then include changing the specified operational parameters associated with the antenna on the mobile electronic device according to the determination. Abstract: The disclosed system may include a housing that includes a non-conducting substrate and a conductive enclosure that at least partially surrounds the non-conducting substrate. The system may also include an antenna disposed on the non-conducting substrate of the housing. Still further, the system may include a direct electrical connection between the antenna and a first portion of the conductive enclosure. Moreover, the system may include an antenna feed electrically connected to a separate conductive portion on the non-conducting substrate. The separate portion of the non-conducting substrate may be electrically connected to a second portion of the conductive enclosure. Various other apparatuses, wearable electronic devices, and methods of manufacturing are also disclosed.

Abstract: The disclosed system may include a detachable capsule that includes a capsule-side capacitive plate. The system may also include a receiving antenna electrically connected to an antenna-side capacitive plate, and a capacitive sensor electrically connected to the capsule-side capacitive plate. The two plates may be coupled to each other and may transmit RF signals between them. The capacitive sensor may be configured to detect an amount of capacitance between the two capacitive plates. Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include a transparent NFC antenna that includes a transparent portion and a non-transparent portion. The transparent NFC antenna improves the radiation efficiency of standard NFC antennas by including a transparent conducting film such as metal mesh in the transparent portion, and metalized film in the non-transparent portion. The metalized film can extend along a narrow width of the perimeter of the transparent portion. In one implementation, the transparent NFC antenna can be incorporated into a touch-enabled display panel of a wrist-wearable device without interfering with the usability or viewability of the touch-enabled display panel. Abstract: The disclosed system may include a printed circuit board (PCB) within an enclosure.
