摘要： In an optical fiber device having a configuration in which an optical fiber is joined to a side surface of another optical fiber, a joint portion is suppressed from reaching a high temperature. The optical fiber device includes a first fluoride fiber, a second fluoride fiber, and a heat dissipation member. The first fluoride fiber guides light. The second fluoride fiber has a first end on or from which light is incident or output and a second end at which an end surface of the second fluoride fiber is obliquely joined to a side surface of the first fluoride fiber.

摘要： An optical fiber includes a first optical fiber body, a second optical fiber body and a first end cap. The first optical fiber body includes a first core and a first cladding. The second optical fiber body includes a second core and a second cladding, and is joined at a first end surface thereof to a first end surface of the first optical fiber body. The first end cap has light permeability and is joined to a second end surface of the second optical fiber body. The first core is doped with a laser medium. A mass content of the laser medium in the second core is lower than that of the laser medium in the first core.

摘要： A cooling device that enables the tip position of optical fiber to be adjusted and is able to efficiently cool an entirely of the optical fiber. This cooling device is provided with a cooling base plate, a fiber holder and an adjustment member. The cooling base plate has a recessed accommodating part. The fiber holder is disposed in the recessed accommodating part so as to be freely movable in a first direction. The adjustment member is disposed in a gap between the fiber holder and an end face of the recessed accommodating part and is movable in the first direction by moving in a second direction that intersects the first direction. The adjustment member abuts against both the end face of the recessed accommodating part and an end face of the fiber holder.
