Abstract: Methods and systems for mitigating interference between different transceivers in a portable communication device. An electronic control circuit is configured to quantify an electromagnetic isolation between a first transceiver of a portable communication and a second transceiver of the portable communication device based on a detected radio frequency power coupled to the first transceiver from radio frequency signals transmitted by the second transceiver. A mitigation action is selected from a plurality of mitigation actions based on a magnitude of the quantified electromagnetic isolation. The selected mitigation action is then applied to the second transceiver to adjust at least one radio frequency characteristic of the second transceiver.

Abstract: An inductive landing apparatus for an unmanned aerial vehicle and methods of operation. One method includes locating, with a flight controller, an overhead power line. The method includes controlling a flight system communicatively coupled to the flight controller to bring the unmanned aerial vehicle in proximity to the overhead power line. The method includes controlling the flight system to position the unmanned aerial vehicle such that a first inductive clamp and a second inductive clamp of the unmanned aerial vehicle are aligned with the overhead power line. The method includes causing the first and second inductive clamps to open. The method includes causing the first and second inductive clamps to close around the overhead power line. The method includes inductively coupling the first and second inductive clamps to the overhead power line.

Abstract: Portable communication device and method for mitigating interference. One example portable communication device includes a frequency-modulated (FM) communication subsystem, a cellular communication subsystem, a first electronic processor, and a second electronic processor. The FM communication subsystem includes an FM modem and at least one FM antenna. The cellular communication subsystem includes a plurality of cellular antennas, a plurality of antenna tuners, and a cellular modem. The first electronic processor is configured to generate an alert signal responsive to detecting one of an audio signal reception by the FM communication subsystem and an audio signal transmission by the FM communication subsystem. The second electronic processor is configured to receive the alert signal from the first electronic processor. The second electronic processor is also configured to responsively cause the cellular communication subsystem to set substantially constant impedances for the plurality of cellular antennas.
