摘要: A lift-changing mechanism is configured to change generated by a wing of an aircraft and includes a slit and an opening and closing member. The slit extends in a wingspan direction inside the wing and forms openings on the lower surface of the wing and on the upper surface of the wing respectively. A part of airflow below the lower surface is allowed to flow toward the upper surface through the slit. The opening and closing member is configured to open and close the slit. When the opening and closing member opens the slit, lift generated on the wing is decreased compared with when the slit is closed.

摘要: A light-emitting element emits a beam onto a droplet discharged from a nozzle from a direction opposite to a direction of discharge of the droplet. A light-receiving element receives a scattered light generated by scattering of the beam by the droplet. Finally, a failure detecting unit detects a liquid discharge failure from data of the scattered light received by the light-receiving element.

摘要: A liquid-discharge-failure detecting apparatus includes a light-emitting unit, a light-receiving unit, and a light-trapping unit. The light-emitting unit emits a detection beam. The light-receiving unit is located at a position offset from an optical axis of the detection beam, and receives a scattered light generated by scattering of the detection beam by a droplet of ink (liquid). The light-trapping unit traps a detection beam that travels straight without striking the droplet so that the detection beam does not enter the light-receiving unit as a stray light.

摘要: A signal line drive circuit according to the present invention has: a latch circuit which latches digital pixel data; a D/A converter which converts a latch output from the latch circuit into an analog video signal; an AMP which amplifies the analog video signal converted by the D/A converter; and a signal selection circuit which selects a signal line to which the analog video signal amplified by the AMP is supplied. The AMP has: an odd number of inverters which are cascade-connected; capacitor elements which are respectively connected between stages of the inverters and between an input terminal of the inverter on a first stage and an output terminal of the inverter on a last stage; a first power supply line which supplies a power supply voltage to the inverter on the first stage; and a second power supply line which supplies a power supply voltage to inverters other than the inverter on the first stage. The accuracy of the AMP can be improved by separating the power supply line for only the inverter on the first stage.

摘要: A display device has a predetermined display region and includes an array substrate equipped with a drive circuit, and a light sensor for measuring outside illuminance and a temperature sensor both installed on the array substrate. A control method for the display device includes using the light sensor to measure outside illuminance and using an output of the temperature sensor to correct an output of the light sensor, thereby adjusting luminance in the display region. The display device may further include an opposed substrate in opposition to the array substrate, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the two substrates to form the predetermined display region, and a backlight, thereby constituting a liquid crystal display device. Another configuration of a display device has a predetermined display region and includes an array substrate equipped with a drive circuit for display, and a light sensor installed on the array substrate for measuring outside illuminance, a filtering circuit for filtering a signal output from the light sensor and a processing circuit for processing the signal output from the light sensor and then filtered with the filtering means.
