    摘要: The liquid crystal display device has at least a liquid crystal panel, a signal line driver for driving signal lines in the liquid crystal panel, and a scanning line driver for driving scanning lines. To prevent waveform distortion due to a high output impedance of the signal line driver from causing adverse effects on a displayed image, a control means is provided which causes display signals to be written to pixel electrodes in the liquid crystal panel so as to avoid amplitude variation periods of the display signals. According to a preferred embodiment, the control means consists of a display signal delay circuit, a scanning signal delay circuit, and a display timing controller that control the signal line driver and the scanning line driver.

A reflectivity or transmittance of the liquid crystal varies according to a first state where a direction of a normal to each of the liquid crystal is the same, a second state where the above direction of the normal is at random, and a third state where a spiral structure of the liquid crystal is untied, and has a hysteresis characteristics with respect to an applied voltage including an insensitive voltage region where a reflectivity or transmission state is not determined by the applied voltage. The device has an operation such that the applied voltage is brought into the insensitive voltage region, after a display signal is written into the pixel electrode, to hold the display state.

    摘要: A signal line drive circuit according to the present invention has: a latch circuit which latches digital pixel data; a D/A converter which converts a latch output from the latch circuit into an analog video signal; an AMP which amplifies the analog video signal converted by the D/A converter; and a signal selection circuit which selects a signal line to which the analog video signal amplified by the AMP is supplied. The AMP has: an odd number of inverters which are cascade-connected; capacitor elements which are respectively connected between stages of the inverters and between an input terminal of the inverter on a first stage and an output terminal of the inverter on a last stage; a first power supply line which supplies a power supply voltage to the inverter on the first stage; and a second power supply line which supplies a power supply voltage to inverters other than the inverter on the first stage. The accuracy of the AMP can be improved by separating the power supply line for only the inverter on the first stage.

    摘要: A bicycle saddle lifter is provided which is safe and simple in structure and which can raise the saddle of a bicycle while a bicycle driver is sitting on the saddle. The biasing force of a stroke spring 10 which biases the saddle upwardly is determined such that when the weight of a bicycle driver directly acts on the saddle, the saddle lowers, and when the driver applies force to pedals of the bicycle while sitting on the saddle, and the load on the saddle decreases, the saddle rises. While the driver is not sitting on the saddle, resistance resulting from the biasing force of the stroke spring prevents a ratchet pawl 13b for checking the ascent of the saddle from being disengaged from the corresponding ratchet gear 14 even by switchover operation. While the driver is sitting on the saddle, the biasing force of the stroke spring 10 is canceled by the load applied to the saddle and the resistance decreases, thereby allowing the ratchet pawl 13b for checking the ascent of the saddle to be disengaged from the ratchet gear 14 by switchover operation.
