    摘要: Integrated resonator matrix for wavelength-selective separation or joining of channels in the frequency domain of optical communications technology.Arrangement of optical resonators which are composed of dielectric waveguides which are mirrored at their ends predominantly with reflectors having high reflection factors close to the value one and whose longitudinal extent between the reflectors is great in comparison to the transverse dimensions perpendicular thereto, all optical resonators are integrated such on a substrate to form a matrix-like arrangement, referred to as resonator matrix. Two types of resonators can be distinguished, whereby the resonators of the first type are highly coupled to one another and act as coupled resonators (22, 221, 222), whereas the resonators of the second type act as wavelength-selective useful resonators (23, 231, 232) and, compared to the couplings between the resonators of the first type, are weakly coupled to one another or, respectively, to the resonators of the first type and form at least two useful resonator groups which are not coupled to one another (or are coupled to one another as little as possible) whereby a useful resonator group contains one or more useful resonators.

    摘要: In the case of a fiber optic gyro having a 4.times.4-coupler, the two arms of the coupler which are not connected with the fiber coil are each connected with a monitoring detector. From the output signals of these monitoring detectors, in the case of a desired wavelength, a reference or desired quotient is formed. During the operation of the fiber optic gyro, an actual quotient is in each case formed from these output signals and is compared with the stored desired quotient. The wavelength of a semiconductor laser is controlled by controlling the operating current and/or the temperature of the light source (L) such that the two quotients are identical. The measuring signals will then be error free.

    摘要: A Sagnac-type fiber-optic gyroscope having a light source, a fiber coil consisting of an optical fiber, and a receiver arrangement which are all connected with a directional coupler in such a manner that wide-band light of the light source is fed into the two ends of the fiber coil and passes through it in opposite directions, the light emerging from the ends of the fiber coil and forming an interference signal in the directional coupler which is detected. An auxiliary coil is also connected with the directional coupler into which light from the single light source is also coupled, the dimensions of the auxiliary coil and of the main coil with respect to their length and their diameter being such that a measuring range is obtained that is expanded by the auxiliary coil and in which, for the whole measuring range, unambiguous measuring values may be determined for the rate of rotation of the fiber-optic gyroscope.

    摘要: An optical-fiber gyroscope of the Sagnac type having an optical fiber coil and a 3.times.3 coupler comprising three optically coupled fiber optic guides. A first fiber optic guide of the 3.times.3 coupler is coupled at one end to a first optical radiation source, whose radiation intensity is detected directly by a radiation detector. The two other fiber optic guides of the 3.times.3 coupler are each coupled to respective ends of an optical fiber coil and, at the other ends of each of the two other fiber optic guides, to respective radiation detectors. The first fiber optic guide of the 3.times.3 coupler features a second optical radiation source, which is modulated by a frequency which differs from the modulation frequency of the first radiation source.

    摘要: A circuit arrangement for forming the difference and the sum of two detector signals has two photodetectors connected in back-to-back fashion. The difference signal is provided by a first operational amplifier connected to the junction between the two back-to-back connected photodetectors. The sum signal is formed by two further operational amplifiers, whereby one further operational amplifier inverts the signal from one detector and supplies the inverted signal to the input of the other operational amplifier. Thus, the difference signal and the summing signal are directly formed and accessible.
