    Abstract: A process for postcrosslinking a water-absorbing polymer comprises said polymer being treated with a postcrosslinker and, during or after said treating, being postcrosslinked and dried by temperature elevation, said postcrosslinker being a compound of the formula I where R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 and R9 are each independently hydrogen, C1-C12-alkyl, C2-C12-alkenyl or C6-C12-aryl, wherein C1-C12-alkyl, C2-C12-alkenyl or C6-C12-aryl may be halogen substituted. The liquid-absorbing polymers are useful in hygiene articles and packaging materials.

    Abstract: A process for producing sodium acrylate polymers by free-radical polymerization of sodium acrylate with or without other monomers in an aqueous medium, which comprises using sodium acrylate in the form of an aqueous solution or dispersion obtainable by dissolving or dispersing solid sodium acrylate in an aqueous medium.     Abstract: The invention concerns a process for producing water-absorbing polymer, which comprises a base polymer A being mixed with a first aqueous solution B of at least one surface postcrosslinker and a second aqueous solution C of at least one polyvalent cation and thermally treated, wherein said base polymer A is based on at least 50% neutralized acid-functional monomer and said solutions B and C are metered wholly or partly concurrently through separate nozzles whereby a water-absorbing polymer having a high saline flow conductivity value is obtained.
