Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an anti-adhesion composition for wound protection in the form of a film comprising a biocompatible mucoadhesive polymer and a specific swellable polymer. The present disclosure relates to an anti-adhesion agent that is flexible and adheres appropriately to an application site by improving crumbling and adhesion properties, which are problems of existing film-type anti-adhesion agents.
Abstract:
An absorbent article is provided with a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet and an absorbent body between the top sheet and the back sheet. The top sheet has a non-woven fabric having multiple convex portions and multiple concave portions. The individual convex portions and concave portions contain a blood lubricity-imparting agent that has a kinetic viscosity of 0.01-80 mm2/s at 40° C., a water retention rate of 0.01-4.0 mass % and a weight-average molecular weight of less than 1,000. The amount of the blood lubricity-imparting agent at the top of the convex portions is larger than in the parts other than the top of the convex portions. The amount of the blood lubricity-imparting agent at the bottom of the concave portions is larger than in the parts other than the bottom of the concave portions.
Abstract:

The absorbent article includes a backsheet joined to the topsheet, the backsheet having an inner surface oriented toward the interior of the absorbent article and an outer surface oriented toward the garment of the wearer when the absorbent article is being worn. The absorbent article includes an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, the absorbent core having an inner surface oriented toward the skin of the wearer when the absorbent article is being worn and an outer surface oriented toward the garment of the wearer when the absorbent article is being worn. The absorbent article includes a lotion composition applied to at least a portion of the inner surface of the topsheet, the inner surface of the backsheet, and/or a substrate or surface thereof disposed between the inner surface of the topsheet and the inner surface of the backsheet, wherein the lotion composition comprises a polypropylene glycol material.
Abstract:
In an absorbent article, in which each of pressure-bonded parts has a linear shape extending in the length direction of the absorbent article, the pressure-bonded parts are formed with spacing at regular intervals in a discontinuous manner with respect to the length direction of the absorbent article and are also formed in multiple lines with spacing at regular intervals with respect to the width direction of the absorbent article, depressed parts are formed on a back-sheet-facing surface of an absorbent body that is located beneath the pressure-bonded parts, each of an excretory opening-contacting region in a top sheet and the pressure-bonded parts contains a blood lubricity-imparting agent having a kinematic viscosity of 0.01 to 80 mm2/s at 40° C., a water hold percentage of 0.01 to 4.0 mass % and a weight average molecular weight of less than 1,000, and the amount of the blood lubricity-imparting agent in the pressure-bonded parts is larger than that in the excretory opening-contacting region.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non adherent healing interface including at least one net with open meshes and wherein the net has been coated with a mixture including at least silicone gel and at least a gelling agent. Another object of the present invention is a compress and a dressing which includes at least the interface.
Abstract:
An absorbent article is provided to prevent pulp fibers and a superabsorbent polymer that constitute an absorbent body from leaking from openings, even if a top sheet does not cover the side wall portions of the absorbent body at the openings. The absorbent article includes: a liquid-permeable top sheet having openings; a back sheet; and an absorbent body having openings. At the openings of the top sheet and the openings of the absorbent body, the top sheet is detached from the absorbent body. The opening diameters of the openings on the clothing side of the top sheet are smaller than the opening diameters of the openings on the skin side of the absorbent body. An opening diameter of the openings on the clothing side of the absorbent body is no greater than the opening diameter of the openings on the clothing side of the top sheet.
Abstract:
A composition including a buffered lactic acid having a pH within the range of from 3.0 to 6.5 is disclosed. The composition is a lubricant composition and has a water activity of from 0.03 to 0.60. The friction between the absorbent product and the skin/mucous membrane of the user is reduced when in contact with the skin or mucous membrane of the user. An additional advantage is that the composition has a pH in the acidic range which is close to the pH of the skin and/or mucous membrane.
Abstract:
An absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorbent body that is arranged between the top sheet and the back sheet. The absorbent article further includes a pair of flaps provided to both sides of the absorbent article in a lengthwise direction, a first area containing a blood lubricity-imparting agent, and a second area containing a blood lubricity-imparting agent. The first and second areas are provided to at least an excretory orifice contact area of the top sheet and to the pair of flaps. A basis weight of the blood lubricity-imparting agent in the first area is greater than the basis weight of the blood lubricity-imparting agent in the second area.
Abstract:
A sanitary device for insertion into a body cavity having a perforated casing in which a medicant is located within a distal portion of the casing and a semi-rigid absorbent material is located within a proximal portion of the casing. A plunger extends into the casing from the proximal portion and is movable to force the semi-rigid absorbent material into contact with the medicant which forces the medicant out of the distal portion of the casing. Unwanted body fluids can drain into the proximal portion and are absorbed by the semi-rigid absorbent material.A second embodiment of the invention includes an applicator for inserting a body insert into the body cavity. The body insert includes a semi-rigid absorbent material surrounded by a thin sheet of a lubricating material such as Telfa. The body insert may also include a medicant.
Abstract:
A nonwoven fabric for a top sheet of an absorbent article has a lengthwise direction and a width direction. The nonwoven fabric has a plurality of units in the width direction including first, second, third and fourth areas extending in the lengthwise direction. The second and fourth areas have a higher content by percentage of fibers that are oriented in the lengthwise direction than the third area. The first area has a higher content by percentage of fibers that are oriented in the width direction than the third area. The second, third area, and fourth area respectively include a predetermined blood lubricity-imparting agent, the blood lubricity-imparting agent, and the blood lubricity-imparting agent. The basis weights of the blood-lubricity imparting agent in the second area and in the fourth area are higher than that of the blood lubricity-imparting agent in the third area.
