摘要: A plurality of binding elements, each of a substantially uniform thickness, the fingers being looped over and coupled to the spine such that the inner surface of the fingers is disposed against the inner surface of the spine by an adhesive when assembled. In an embodiment, at least a portion of the outer surface of the binding element is resistant to a more permanent attachment to the adhesive such that the plurality may be stacked together, and successively decoupled or removed for insertion into a stack. The binding elements may include score lines or bends in the fingers to provide a rounded closed loop structure; optional gussets in the bends inhibit straightening of the fingers. The fingers optionally include variations in cross-section along the length to relieve certain stresses to inhibit the looped finger. The binding elements optionally include structure for facilitating interaction with an automating binding process.

摘要: At least one of the disclosed embodiments describes a computer system that enables efficient strain typing by comparing strain k-mer profiles to generate a strain typing relationship mapping. The system may include one or more processors, and one or more hardware storage devices with stored computer-executable instructions. The instructions may cause the computer system to receive a set of nucleotide sequence data. The nucleotide sequence data may include a plurality of nucleotide sequence data structures each corresponding to a separate microbial strain to be analyzed. For each nucleotide sequence data structure, a k-mer profile may be generated. K-mer profiles may be compared to determine a similarity score between the k-mer profiles, which may indicate a relationship mapping of the respective microbial strains corresponding to the k-mer profiles.

摘要: A co-axial catheter assembly including a first lumen having a first distal end and a first proximal end, and a second lumen having a second distal end and a second proximal end. The second lumen extends co-axially with the first lumen, wherein the second lumen is at least partially disposed within the first lumen and the second distal end extends distally of the first distal end. A catheter hub provides for fluid connections of the inner and outer lumens with respective extension tubes, and includes spacers that maintain the proximal end of the inner lumen concentrically within the proximal end of the outer lumen and the distal end of the inner lumen concentrically within the distal end of the outer lumen, respectively. Methods of manufacturing and of inserting the catheter are also disclosed.

摘要: A method of and system for intercepting a transaction instantiated by a database application to determine if an electronic signature is necessary to commit the transaction to the database is disclosed. In one embodiment the method comprises calling an application program interface to raise an event in response to a triggering action generated by the database application; initiating a workflow process that executes a rule to determine if an electronic signature is required to approve the transaction; and if execution of the rule results in a determination that an electronic signature is required for the transaction, instantiating a signature collection process. Some embodiments further comprise obtaining an electronic signature in response to the signature collection process and thereafter, verifying the electronic signature and updating a filed of the electronic record to indicate a valid signature was collected if the electronic signature is verified.

摘要: A crank arm (200) includes a mechanical ring amplifier (232), having a cavity and a connecting bridge (140), to amplify the radial strain exerted on the crank arm by a rider. Strain sensors (234, 235) are positioned to detect the amplified radial strain. The crank arm (200) may include further strain sensors (228, 229) adapted to detect tangential strain on the crank arm, allowing both the tangential and radial forces exerted by a bicycle rider to be measured. The crank arm (200) may also comprise means for adjusting the position of a pedal axle relative to the crank arm, via the loosening, rotation and retightening of a carrier disc held by the crank arm, where the carrier disc has an eccentrically mounted aperture for holding the pedal axle.

摘要: An adapter assembly (120) for connecting a catheter assembly (50,52) to a tunneler (110) having a generally tubular body (122) having a first end (124), a second end (126) and a longitudinal axis (128) extending therethrough between the first end and the second end. The first end (124) of the adapter is constructed to engage the proximal end (114) of a trocar (110). The second end (126) of the adapter is constructed to releasably engage at least one catheter lumen (50,52). A slider (140) is disposed about the adapter (120) and is longitudinally slidable along the adapter. When the slider (140) is slid towards the second end (126) of the adapter, the slider engages a plurality of legs (134a-134d) on the adapter and biases the plurality of legs toward each other and the longitudinal axis of the adapter. A method of subcutaneously tunneling a catheter using the adapter assembly is also described that comprises inserting a catheter into a patient, connecting the proximal end of a trocar to the adapter assembly, releasably restraining at least one lumen of the catheter in the adapter, and tunneling the assembly.
