Abstract:
A device that emits colored flames is disclosed. The device may include one or more electromagnetic coils within a housing. A fuel source may provide fuel such as hydrogen to an igniter at the input to the electromagnetic coil. The fuel may be ignited and a current may flow through the coil that may create a magnetic field. The ignited fuel may ionize creating an electric current that may accelerate the combusting particles through the coil. The current may create a magnetic field that may force the ionized particles into cyclotron orbits. Coloring additive such as salts may be added to the combusting fuel to provide color to the resulting flames.
Abstract:
A system including a battery system to provide additional power during peak operating conditions is described. The system may avoid or reduce the need for extensive infrastructure associated with a power delivery system capable of providing peak power, but may instead, rely on infrastructure that need only provide power needed on an average basis.
Abstract:
A water display is described having a lighting array emanating light that travels through a wall. Water flows down the wall to vary the appearance of the light that shines through the wall. The flow of water and particular lights being turned on and off may be controlled. Dramatic visual effects are provided including the appearance of moving art.
Abstract:
A device to shoot water into the air for a water display is described. The configuration of the shooter allows a stream of water to be shot out that contains reduced or no air exiting the device with the water, which provides a non-frothy appearance. The device may control the velocity of the water being shot by the device so that unique visual effects may be achieved, including an effect where a volume of water is suspended in the air.
Abstract:
A multimedia presentation system a projector to project images toward an audience. A plurality of nozzles are partially submerged in a body of water at locations between the projector and the audience. The plurality of nozzles are located at different distances from the projector. Each of the plurality of nozzles is arranged to produce a fan like water mist onto which the projector projects images. A controller is coupled to the projector and the plurality of nozzles. The controller causes the projector to project images and at least one of the plurality of nozzles to produce a water mist in a synchronized sequence such that the images appear at different distances from the projector at different times. The controller may further control the orientation of each nozzle to vary the distance by inclining the plane of the water mist relative to the surface of the body of water.
Abstract:
A removable thumbturn core assembly which replaces a key core assembly after removing a key cylinder with a control key. The control key feature is preserved for removing the key cylinder.
Abstract:
An integrated manufacture and design system and a database translator that allows use of a subset of data directly from a CAD database to provide the necessary control data for use in a CAM assembly system. A database translator according to the present invention can examine the CAD data specifying a product, determine which of the component parts of that product are unknown to the CAM assembly system, and can insert into the CAM assembly system's database whatever new information the CAM system requires to manufacture the product. The invention may be embodied as a number of software modules on a fixed medium such as a computer readable disk or computer memory.
