摘要: A method, system and article of manufacture for simulating latency between software applications. There is provided a middleware component, e.g., a delay driver, within a multi-tier software product, the middleware component driver enables simulation of both latency and bandwidth restrictions experienced by the components in the multi-tier software product. The middleware component determines whether I/O request packets should be delayed, selects the number and types of I/O requests packets to be delayed and the amount of time to delay processing of the packets. Through the use of such a middleware component, a user is able to simulate various conditions experienced by the multi-tier software product.

摘要: A malware detection system seeking to identify computer viruses, worms, Trojans, banned files and the like acts to determine from the file name, file size and storage location of a computer file being tested, whether that computer file potentially matches a specific known malware free computer file stored within a list of such specific known malware free computer files. If a match occurs indicating that the candidate computer file is potentially the specific known malware free computer file, then this is confirmed by calculating a checksum of the candidate computer file and comparing this against a stored corresponding checksum of the specific known malware free computer file. If these checksums match, then the candidate computer file can be passed as clean without requiring further time consuming malware detection scanning.

摘要: Embodiments are directed to a method and apparatus for deploying a contextually dependent application on a mobile device. A method includes determining a current location of a mobile device and gathering environmental data from the mobile device. The method also includes inferring from the current location of the mobile device and the gathered environmental data an operating environment of the mobile device and receiving a list of applications, wherein the list of applications includes metadata for each of the applications. The method further includes analysing the metadata to identify an application that has characteristics that are compatible with the operating environment of the mobile device and installing the identified application on the mobile device.

摘要: A heated counter for service of hot food has one or more hotplates, a light source illuminating each hotplate and a number of light sensors below each hotplate. When a sensor is obscured by a dish of food, power is supplied to that hotplate, and when no sensor is obscured, that hotplate is kept in stand-by mode.
