    摘要: A method of processing a digital video signal to derive motion vectors representing motion between successive fields or frames of the video signal comprises compares the contents of blocks of pixels in a first field or frame of the video signal with the contents of a plurality of blocks of pixels in a following field or frame, and produces for each block in the first field or frame a correlation surface representing the difference between the contents so compared in the two fields or frames. A grown correlation surface is produced for each block in the first field or frame by weighting the correlation surfaces for that block and a plurality of other blocks in an area around that block so as to accentuate features of the correlation surface for that block relative to those for the other blocks, and summing the weighted correlation surfaces. From each grown correlation surface, a motion vector is derived representing the motion of the content of the corresponding block between the two frames in dependence upon a minimum difference value represented by the grown correlation surface.

    摘要: A portable, manually or motor operated machine for separating continuous multiple ply business forms into individual stacks, each having a single ply while simultaneously removing the carbon paper for disposal. The device includes a housing, a pair of separating rollers, a carbon paper winding reel that is manually or motor driven, and carbon sheet guide bars positioned strategically relative to the rollers which allow for efficient, rapid separation of the continuous business form. An attachable accessory allows separation of carbonless multiple ply business forms into two stacks of single plies. The drive shaft of the carbonless separator accessory replaces the carbon paper winding reel, and includes one or two pairs of belt driven wheels that rest on the separating rollers. The machine may be independently mounted on a table top, or be used in conjunction with a mateable floor stand.

    摘要: A high impact resistant package system 10 for a container of fragile products, such as X-ray cassettes, has a plurality of shock absorbing polyethylene plastic foam corner protector members 12 mounted on corner edges 14,16,20,22 of the container. Alternatively, a flexible material layer 50 overwraps the product container 18 and corner protector members 12, thereby forming a unitized package system. Portions of the corner protector members 12 extend beyond the corner edges 14,16,20,22 and sides of the container so as to fully absorb exposure to shock during handling and shipment. In an alternative embodiment, the flexible layer 50 is provided with a peelable strip 40. An end portion 42 of the strip 40 is allowed to extend through an aperture 44 formed in the flexible layer 50. In this embodiment, access to the container is gained by grasping the end portion 42 of strip 40 and pulling it away from the container 18.
