摘要: A hot-stamping device (1) is described, having a stamping device (2) for transferring a transfer layer (15u) disposed on a carrier layer (15t) of a hot-stamping foil (15) onto a substrate (14). The hot-stamping device comprises a heatable stamping roller (11) and a counter-pressure roller (12), between which a stamping gap (16) is realized, in which a stamped substrate (17) is realized, and comprising a separating device (3), disposed downstream, for separating the carrier layer (15t) from the stamped substrate (17). The separating device (3) has a separating element (20), which is realized as a bar-shaped hollow body, disposed on which there is a supply for a compressed gas (21). At least one longitudinal edge of the separating element (20) is realized as a perforated separating edge (20k) having outflow openings (20a) for the compressed gas (22), for the purpose of realizing a gas cushion between the carrier layer (15t) and the separating element (20). The separating edge (20k) is disposed transversely in relation to the running direction and parallelwise in relation to the top side of the coated substrate (17).

摘要: While a transporting unit transports an adhesive sheet attached to a separator larger than the adhesive sheet, a chuck member on a tip of a swing arm of a separating unit holds a portion of the separator protruding from an end of the adhesive sheet. Under such a condition, the chuck member moves in a direction crossing a transportation direction of the adhesive sheet, and the transporting unit moves in the transportation direction in synchronization with the chuck member while folding back the separator at an end of a supporting plate contacting the separator as a starting point. Accordingly, the separator is separated from the adhesive sheet. The transporting unit transports while holding the adhesive sheet with the separator separated therefrom to join the adhesive sheet to a workpiece.

摘要: A system and process is described for producing spirally wound products. According to the process of the present disclosure, two or more webs are conveyed together in a superimposed relationship. The webs are then separated such that one web goes to a first winding module while a second web goes to a second winding module, etc. In this manner, at least two spirally wound products can be produced simultaneously. The process and system of the present disclosure are particularly well suited for processing tissue webs, such as paper towels and bath tissue. The process of the present disclosure can effectively at least double throughput on existing winding systems.

摘要: An interfolder separator apparatus and method utilize a pair of count fingers that are movable longitudinally along and transversely to a stream of folded sheets, for temporarily supporting each successive pack formed by the separator and then releasing each successive pack when partly completed to alternating build fingers, so that the operation of separating successive packs from one another is performed separately from the operations of completing the build of each pack and transporting the completed packs to downstream operations. The count fingers may be mounted to pivot about axes that are movable longitudinally along and transversely to the stream of sheets. A first or last panel of the completed pack may also be folded back partly upon itself, after the partly completed pack is released by the count fingers. Some or all of the fingers may be spring loaded and automatically resettable for clearing jams.
