摘要： A fabric material having a textured surface and a process for producing the fabric material are disclosed. The fabric material is made from a woven fabric substrate including a warp yarn and at least first and second pick yarns. The first pick yarn is woven into the fabric substrate to provide integrity. The second pick yarn, on the other hand, is a yarn that is nappable from the surface of the fabric substrate. In accordance with the present invention, the fabric substrate is fed through a napping process which naps the second pick yarn appearing on the face of the fabric. The fabric substrate is then fed through a shearing process which shears the napped yarns. The napped and sheared yarns form pile-like tufts on the surface of the fabric. Ultimately, the napped and sheared yarns produce a velvet-like fabric having an improved aesthetic appearance.

摘要： A mattress construction having a resilient core incorporating deformable foam either alone or in combination with integrated springs with a complimentary flame barrier fabric disposed in overlying relation to the resilient core. The flame barrier fabric has a stitch-bonded construction with elastomeric yarns extending in stitched relation through a fleece substrate of substantially inelastic character incorporating a percentage of flame retardant fibers. In a relaxed condition, the fleece substrate is bunched between stitch lines formed by the elastomeric yarns. Upon the application of tension, the barrier fabric stretches by the extension of the elastomeric stitching yarns in combination with a flattening of the fleece substrate.

摘要： A cleaning pad structure of stitch bonded construction incorporating one or more substrate layers of an absorbent nonwoven material with an optional additional fluid blocking substrate layer of polymer film or other suitable material in juxtaposed relation to the absorbent nonwoven layers. Stitching yarns are introduced in stitching relation through the substrate layers. One face of the pad defines a cleaning surface of raised yarn loops formed by the stitched yarns. The pad further includes an attachment surface facing away from the cleaning surface. The stitches of yarns across the attachment surface define an engagement surface for attachment to cooperating hooking elements across a surface of a mop head to define a hook and loop attachment system.

The textile composite includes a fluid retention layer of non-woven fabric formed from a plurality of intermingled textile fibers. A liquid permeable barrier layer of porous fabric is disposed across the fluid retention layer. A plurality of spun yarns including polyester and rayon constituents extend in a repeating stitch bonding pattern through the fluid retention layer and the liquid permeable barrier layer such that the spun yarns form a surface layer over the liquid permeable barrier layer at the technical face of the textile composite. The stitch bonding pattern is characterized by a stitch density in the machine direction of about 4 to about 14 stitches per inch.
