摘要: A code disk for a high-resolution encoder that can detect an absolute position and a method for manufacturing a mold to produce the code disk are provided. The code disk is formed by using transparent substrate. The code disk includes a plurality of tracks provided on the transparent substrate and an area provided between the plurality of tracks. Each surface of the plurality of tracks has a different pattern. A level of the area is different from that of the each surface of the plurality of tracks. The method for manufacturing the mold includes steps of processing a plurality of tracks with a flat surface on material; processing an area with a level different from that of each surface, between the plurality of tracks; forming different patterns on the each surface; plating the first material; and peeling plating from the first material to obtain a mold.

摘要: A developing material amount detecting apparatus for detecting an amount of developing material contained in a tank includes a detection member provided inside the tank movably between a settled position and a raised position, toner feeding vane for periodically sending the detection member from the settled position to the raised position, and a switch which turns on when the detection member is held substantially in the settled position and turns off when the detection member is held substantially in a position other than the settled position. The apparatus further includes a timer for counting a predetermined time length. The timer starts counting when the switch is turned off. When the switch is maintained off for a time length longer than the predetermined time length, it is indicated that the amount of developing material inside the tank is more than a predetermined amount.

摘要: Conventional pressure sensor units require time-consuming work including bonding and welding in assembly work and affixing a pressure sensor to a holder, and therefore a pressure sensor unit in which a pressure sensor can be easily affixed to a holder is needed. Disclosed is a pressure sensor unit wherein a holder comprises a first holder member and a second holder member, and by fitting a fitting groove of the first holder member and a fitting claw of the second holder member with each other while housing a pressure sensor in housing holes provided in the two holder members, the two holder members are affixed, and the pressure sensor is affixed to the holder.

摘要: A copying machine operable in a manual copying paper feed mode and an automatic copying paper feed mode which has an automatic paper feeding section and an inlet for receiving copying paper inserted manually. The automatic paper feeding section includes a cassette containing copying paper to be fed automatically, a feed roller for feeding the copying paper, and a lifting mechanism for lifting the copying paper for pressure contact with the feed roller. The inlet has a cover which is opened for manually inserting copying paper, and a guide member for guiding the copying paper to a position between the feed roller and the copying paper contained in the cassette. The manual feed mode is automatically switched to the automatic feed mode when the manually fed copying paper is exhausted and the cover remains closed for a predetermined time during the manual feed mode.

摘要: A toner collecting includes a toner collecting container, a support rest, a pressure sensor and a controller. As a residual toner left and removed off a photoconductive drum gradually fills the toner collecting container, the support rest moves downward to exert a load to the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor outputs voltages, varying in accordance, with the load, to the controller. Then the controller prohibits the operation of an image forming apparatus when the pressure sensor outputs voltages in compliance with the weight of the empty toner collecting container and the weight of the toner collecting container filled up with the residual toner collected. Therefore, the toner collecting apparatus can be built in a simple construction resulting in a reduced manufacturing cost and arouse an operator's attention in a reliable and understandable manner.
