The calibration method includes: measuring a relative position between the stereo camera and an object that is placed so as to fall within an image capturing area of the stereo camera; acquiring a captured image that is captured by the stereo camera and includes the object; and determining a calibration parameter for calibrating the stereo camera based on the relative position and the captured image.

摘要: An image forming apparatus enables the output of a high-quality image even when an expendable supply, such as ink, recording head, or recording sheet other than a specific expendable supply, such as one designated by a manufacturer, is used. The image forming apparatus includes a carriage for moving a recording head having plural recording nozzles in a horizontal scan direction. The recording head discharges ink onto a recording medium. A detection unit detects whether one or more expendable supplies required for image formation is a specific expendable supply. Upon detection of a non-specific expendable supply, a notifying unit notifies an operator and suggests that the image forming method be changed.

摘要: A display device which can ensure a sufficient adhesive strength on an adhering surface between each of a pair of substrates of a liquid crystal display panel and a sealing material is provided. A display device includes: a first substrate on which a predetermined integrated circuit is formed; a second substrate which is arranged on one surface of the first substrate in an overlapping manner; and an adhesive material which is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate and has an annular planar shape as viewed from the surface of the first substrate, the adhesive material being provided for adhering the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein an outer periphery of the adhesive material as viewed from the surface of the first substrate includes a zone which is constituted of a plurality of first portions passing substantially the same position as an outer periphery of the surface of the first substrate and a plurality of second portions each of which is connected with the two neighboring first portions and has a center portion thereof in a peripheral direction retracted toward an inner peripheral side of the adhesive material as viewed from the surface of the first substrate.

摘要: The generation of bubbles in a liquid crystal material of a liquid crystal display panel and the generation of color irregularities when the liquid crystal display panel is pushed can be reduced. In a display device having a liquid crystal display panel in which a liquid crystal material is filled between a first substrate and a second substrate, the second substrate forms, on a surface of an insulation substrate which faces the first substrate, first columnar members, second columnar members and third columnar members which differ from each other in a distance from the surface of the insulation substrate to a top portion of each columnar member. Assuming the distance of the first columnar member as L1, the distance of the second columnar member as L2 and the distance of the third columnar member as L3, a relationship among the distances L1, L3, L2 satisfies L1>L3>L2, and assuming the number of the first columnar members arranged on the surface of the insulation substrate as N1, the number of the second columnar members arranged on the surface of the insulation substrate as N2 and the number of the third columnar members arranged on the surface of the insulation substrate as N3, a relationship among the numbers N1, N2, N3 satisfies N2>N1>N3.
