摘要： A gift coupon detectable by a bill sorter, comprising a rectangular paper having a width capable of being inserted into a travelling path of the bill sorter and also having predetermined characters and design, the gift coupon further having: a first data train comprising data units formed by a magnetic ink and arranged in a row at predetermined intervals, and a second data train comprising data units corresponding respectively to the data units of the first data train, formed by a magnetic ink and arranged in a row, data units in predetermined positions of the second data train being cut off to provide blank units to record data required for the gift coupon such as the significance of an amount of money, the name of commodity to be exchanged, etc. according to the arrangement of the blank units, the first and second data trains being disposed in positions capable of being detected by two magnetic detection heads for bill sorting provided in the bill sorter during travel of the gift coupon along the travelling path.

摘要： A bill accepting device judges whether a deposited bill is a true bill or not and produces a true bill signal if it is a true bill. A device such as a vending machine utilizing this bill accepting device receives this true bill signal, counts the number of the deposited bill and, upon confirming that the counting has been properly made, produces a true bill confirmation signal. The bill accepting device receives the true bill confirmation signal and thereby confirms that the true bill signal has been properly used. Thereupon, the bill accepting device stores the deposited bill. If this confirmation has not been made, the deposited bill is automatically returned notwithstanding that it is a true bill.

摘要： This bill accepting device comprises a bill discrimination section for discriminating whether an inserted bill is true or not, an escrow section capable of retaining a bill accepted by the bill discrimination section as a true bill and returning the retained bill, a stocker section for storing the bill accepted by the bill discrimination section as a true bill, and passage switching means for causing a bill passage in the bill discrimination section to communicate selectively either with the escrow section or with the stocker section. The passage switching section normally communicates the bill discrimination section with the escrow section to enable an inserted bill to be retained in the escrow section in a state in which the bill can be readily returned. When the escrow section has become full, the passage is switched so that the inserted bill is guided from the bill discrimination section to the stocker section.

摘要： A secrecy device connected between a telephone handset and a telephone body, which comprises a secrecy circuit for modulating a voice signal received from the handset on a predetermined modulation system basis to send a modulated voice signal to the telephone body and for demodulating a modulated voice signal received from the telephone body on a predetermined demodulation system basis to send a demodulated voice signal to the handset, and a detection circuit for detecting presence of a connection of a wiretapping telephone set to a line connecting two communicating party telephone sets. The detection circuit, in response to reception of a request signal generated at the secrecy device of one of the two communicating party telephone sets, generates pseudorandom data and transmits the pseudorandom data to the secrecy device of the request-signal sender telephone set, and, in response to reception of the pseudorandom data, returns as echo-back data the same data as the pseudorandom data to the secrecy device of the pseudorandom-data sender telephone set, and compares the random data generated at the secrecy device of its own telephone set with the echo-back data and when the both data do not coincide with each other, generates a detection output.

摘要： A stored coin and bill number counter unit counts up the numbers of deposited coins and bills for respective denominations and counts down the numbers of paid out coins and bills for the respective denominations and thereby obtains the numbers of coins and bills for the respective denominations stored for paying out of change. A comparison and operation unit primarily judges whether vending is possible or not by comparing the amount of the deposited coins and bills with the set vend price and obtains the amount to be paid out as change by calculating difference between the deposited amount and the set vend price. A change payout permission judgement unit judges whether payout of the amount to be paid out as change is possible or not by utilizing the numbers of the coins and bills of the respective denominations calculated by the counter unit and, if such payout is possible, permits ultimately vending of an article corresponding to the set vend price on condition that the comparison unit has judged, with respect to the particular set vend price, that vending is possible. A shortage detection device may be provided in association with a change coin and bill storage device for detecting whether or not there is shortage of stored coins and bills of the respective denominations and the judgement unit may make the above described judgement on the basis of outputs of both the shortage detection device and the counter unit.

摘要： A money discriminating apparatus comprising a bill transporting path defined between a pair of spaced, but opposed wall surfaces. A coin transporting path is defined by a groove formed in at least one of the wall surfaces. The groove has a width slightly larger than a diameter of a largest one of coins to be transported and a depth slightly larger than a thickness of a thickest one of the coins. Inlet and outlet of coin transporting path open respectively to inlet and outlet of the bill transporting path. A transporting system transports bill and coin along their respective paths. A discriminating unit discriminates authenticity and kind of bill and coin in course of being transported along their respective paths. Preferably, the transporting system comprises a pair of transporting belts and mating surfaces arranged in facing relation respectively to running surfaces of the respective belts. The running surfaces of the respective belts cooperate respectively with the mating surfaces to transport money while clamping the money therebetween.

摘要： The control system is constituted by a plurality of switches operated by inserted coins of different denominations, first register for storing amounts of inserted coins for each denomination and a second register for storing remaining amount of change. The amount of coins corresponding to operated switch is added to the content of the first register, 1 is added to the content of the second register in accordance with the denomination of the inserted coin, and 1 is substracted from the content of the second register in accordance with the denomination of payed out money. The selling price of a merchandise is subtracted from the total price of the inserted coins for calculating the amount of change. Selling is possible or not is determined by sequentially subtracting the price of the coins starting from a coin of the highest price from the change. The content of the first register is sequentially changed until the content exceeds the selling price and the selling price is subtracted from the content of the first register for setting the content to the amount of change for different denomination of coins.
